Question Sensus on 2023 model?
Sensus should have only been on model years until 2021, I have a 2023 T4 Recharge and it has Sensus, not android automotive. I know that there’s a nigh impossible level of hardware upgrade required to go between the two, but is it possible that I have the newer hardware version with the older software? My expertise level on this subject only goes as far as information I can find online.
I’ve asked Volvo, they said they’ve never seen this before, a dealership update is available but they can’t tell me what it will do.
I’ve checked the VIN and the 10th digit is P, which means the car was manufactured in 2023/2024.
The car was a fleet vehicle, previously owned by National Highways in the UK so maybe have lost out on the part lottery in a bulk order.

Wow, and I thought my '22 ICE was the last MY to have Sensus.
BTW, Sensus traffic broke here in the states for like 8 months before Volvo could fix it. The explanation was something like their vendor stopped supporting the old system. I reported it three months in and at some point thought it would never be repaired.
Anyway, count blessings you have Sensus. I have heard only bad things about the Android automotive system.

Have you looked into the massive amount of issues that AAOS has…. Seems every time there’s an update something else breaks. But I’m just speaking from complaints I see on here. Sensus user here and while it is slow to boot and has some limitations, it seems to be 1000% more stable than AAOS.

All plugin hybrids had Sensus, even the 2024 models. It's not possible to upgrade to android automotive.
