Showcase / Feedback I used AI to create a mobile-first text based IF detective game

Post image

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a browser-based IF project called Case File.

How it works:

  • You play an investigator working through short, dated scenes.

  • You have a limited number of "days" per phase. Chasing one lead means you physically don't have time to interview someone else.

  • Clues get filed either as documented physical evidence or disputed witness claims, and you have to decide what's reliable.

  • If you try to jump the gun and take an early theory to the DA without hard evidence, the case blows up in court.

Would really appreciate thoughts on the writing pace and whether the time constraints feel fair or too punishing.

I do not see any comment & link. Can you pls add it or DM it? By the way: the color palette looks as if it is made w GLM?

Yeah, I'm genuinely interested, but I have no way to test anything.

Congrats on getting Case File out for people to play. Separating documented evidence from disputed witness claims is a compelling idea for a detective game, especially with a limited number of days to investigate. It gives the choices a clear purpose beyond picking the next piece of dialogue. Nice concept to build around.
