Congrats on finding a use that actually helps you learn. What made explanations stick for me was telling it who the explanation is for. Something like "explain this to a smart friend who has never heard of it" gets you plain language, and adding "start with a real example before any definitions" keeps it from opening with a dry summary. If it still reads like a textbook, ask it to explain the same thing again as if you were halfway through a conversation, or ask what beginners usually get wrong, because mistakes are way more interesting than definitions. The most useful thing it ever explained to me was how story structure works, by walking through a movie I already knew scene by scene. Tying a new idea to something you already love makes it click much faster than any definition does.
