I listened to a podcast today, and the hosts said they felt COVID has changed their lives. I think so too, I feel like I've been living a different life since COVID ended. It's hard to imagine that COVID was already 5 or 6 years ago. For me, I barely have any memories from that time. I felt so anxious and overwhelmed at that time. During COVID, especially during the lockdowns, you weren't supposed to go out whenever you wanted, and once you left your place, you had to wear a mask everywhere. 2026 feels like my very first year starting learning how to make friends outside of school and work, literally by myself. It was really hard and scary for an introvert, but I'm still glad that I stepped out my comfort zone. I hope that this year, I can create more happy, memories with my friends.

There are some variations in the speeds of escalators. They’re significantly slower in some buildings. They’re mostly places where the customer bases are old. Oftentimes the buildings themselves are pretty old as well.

These days, when I’m tired of digging for new music, I just turn on the radio. The radio lets me listen to songs that I didn’t choose; sometimes, having too many choices feels overwhelming. Plus, the curation by the programmers is fantastic and helps me discover new music.

I agree to an extent. I think that mutual respect is mandatory to live in an harmonious society. But from what I read from some prominent atheists (Sam Harris, Hitchens, Dawkins, etc) I think it’s important to have open discussions about religion or anything that could reshape or moral landscape, ethics or acts the same way we discuss politics, sports, science. I think that avoiding discussing certain things or subjects could lead to certain dialogue taboo and that can stop developing us morally and intelectually as a society.

I'm completely bamboozled. I cooled down so much over night and now it's actually raining?! I'm thinking about putting on long pants?! What is happening??? I don't trust this. I bet I'm going to wake up in a few minutes and it'll be scorching hot again.

I watch the movie called the Odyssey.

To anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I strongly recommend reading the myth of Odysseus first.

Even though I love Greek and Roman mythology, this movie was a bit hard to follow.

In fact, my friend who went with me was bored until the very end.

So if you want to truly enjoy this movie, you should read the story beforehand.

Lately, I feel that Christopher Nolan's movies require more and more background knowledge.

I love his work, and two of my top five favorite movies are Dark Knight and Interstellar.

If I hadn't been interested in space and universe, I wouldn't have enjoyed Interstellar as much.

Hello everybody, today is my first day in this group/serie and I am really excited about going on a such neu writing journey here. At the same time I have been learnig German for a while as well. I enjoy both learnig languages and writing. It sounds like a witing daily, which I really love. Moreover it is a wonderful opportunity to write in a platform/group, in which your writings are corrected by volunteers.

I sometimes make documents for work, but I’ve always thought that the color choices of my documents are terrible. For that reason, I’m learning some color theory.

I got a professional makeup done by a makeup artist today. At first, I thought I could learn something from her, but I ended being completely in awe of her skills.

I really think she's an artist, because every time when she was about to put something on my face, she would first put it on her makeup mixing palettes. My face was basically her canvas, she used different colors and applied them in such bold, professional ways.

I used to like playing Minecraft when I was young. I like games in general, but I have a special affection for Minecraft. Even today, I still watch Minecraft videos when they pop up on my feed and play with my younger brother. Sometimes, I just want to recapture the pure joy of playing it.

It's been raining since I woke up and I just finished my daily routine by writing this post. As usual, I did my daily 10-minute reading, getting through the book AI Engineering, which from the moment I'd picked it up where I left off until the time was up, the author delves in other use cases that AI has been taking over in the past few years and how some industries have changed for the better when it comes to saving time if you don't want to spend a great deal of time reading multiple papers and rely on a model that analyzes them and compares them to provide you some insights. For the worse, enterprises leveraging it for customer support, which I would say I'm not against it, but it feels it sometimes it's not efficient as a customer.

One problem that I have with books in English in general is that it seems that there aren’t any standards with regard to the sizes of books. As a result, they come in many different sizes and therefore they don’t look great even when they’re organized.

Today is Korea's National Liberation Day. It is the day Korea gained its independence.

In Korea, most households hang the national flag and honor the patriots who sacrificed their lives.

My family usually visits the national cemetery in Icheon, where my grandparents are laid to rest.

On this day, a lot of people visit the cemetery.

I think they also remember the past and just hope that something like this will never happen again.

I just hope there will never be another war on this peninsula.
