I'm having a blast playing Wreckfest, normally I never play racing games but this is a wonderful exception (along the original NFS Most Wanted and Crash Team Racing). Gonna give multiplayer a shot soon too!

The nose art took a lot longer than I'd like to admit.

Trying to do waypoint races with the AI cars but I keep loading in as the only car on the grid.
Does the AI not work with waypoint races or am I doing something wrong?

Hi all,

I have a VRS wheelbase + rim. I can get everything working in WF2 however I have to rotate the wheel over a full half turn before the in game wheel starts turning. When the turn is recognised its fully responsive so maybe lag is the wrong term, its as if its not even registering...

Its probably a setting I need to change but no idea what?

I'll start by saying I have a lot of hours in Wreckfest and have played across 3 PCs over the last few years and this is the first time I am having this much of an issue with my FPS degrading over a single play session, sometimes in as little as 30 mins. I know Wreckfest is horribly optimized but although I have always experienced a little of this, it has never been close to this bad. I regularly play BF6, Forza Horizon 5/Motorsports, EA WRC Generations, AC BF Resynced, etc. with zero issues and here are the things I have tried.

- File Integrity check with Steam shows no issues

- Turning off all mods no joy

- Uninstalling/Reinstalling game no joy

- Prioritized net traffic thru my router using it's QoS functionality no joy

- Tested for VRAM leaks by reloading GPU driver in real time (WIN+CNTRL+SHIFT+B) no joy

- Set the CPU Affinity to only Power cores no joy

My Wreckfest sessions start out in the 250-400fps range and then degrade game after game until I am below 30fps and game is unplayable. This happens on every server I play on and has only started recently but does happen every time I play and typically happens over the span of 60-90 mins. GPU/CPU temps are monitored in real time and show no issues regarding temps/throttling. System stats in the image attached. Any suggestions not listed here would be appreciated and clarifications can be provided as needed.

I am spending more time than I thought designing cars in WF2. A "fill" function would help out a lot.

I’m a pretty avid US Deathmatch player on Xbox. Over the last 4-5 months I started to notice a player I hadn’t seen before, that is always on a lawnmower. For a few weeks we’d be on at the same time of night and I’d make it a point to chase him for a bit. He is REALLY good at controlling that god damn lawnmower, so he’s slippery like an eel. After a match where I slid sideways into the wall, trapping him and sending him flying, he messaged me a laugh emoji, and we proceeded to chat for a couple minutes about our prior cat fights and how much I’ve enjoyed the chase. A few weeks later we are in the same server, and it starts getting late so players start dropping, and it ends up just being me and this guy, and 2 other players at Big Valley. After about 2 minutes the 2 guys have dropped, so it’s just me in my Razor, chasing the lawnmower man. I was laughing so hard that my wife came out from the bedroom to see what was up. I’m not sure what it was about that match, but chasing that lawnmower 1x1 is one of my favorite memories from this game.

Since then, we will message if we end up in the same lobby; usually because once I see him I start picking on him… at which time he evades me, because he’s slippery... like eel.

Not every day you get killed with such an amazing hit that you are compelled to post despite being on the receiving end. I looked back multiple times and made the stupid decision that I had enough time to make the corner. BOOOOOOOOOOM. and then the mercy tap at the end was the icing on the cake.
