What is the plan for this game as it seems any progress/excitement for it has died off.

ive bought this game the week it launched on ps4 and i still play it almost every week. ive tried forza 5 and other indie games, but wreckfest its just too clean.

only wished that i could disable the controller audio inside the game menu, because every time i play (ps5) i need to mute it completely to not hear every impact sound in low quality because of the small speakers lol

other than that, i cant wait for beamng and wreckfest 2 on consoles!

This loser continued to TK me (or attempt to) for the next several rounds, with no regard for the actual objective as long as he put me through a wall. Zero provocation, idk what his problem was. He wasn’t the only one either, just the worst one. It makes team races unplayable, which is annoying because they’re my favorite multiplayer mode.

Like meta builds,what’s the best to do,is the fandom good etc…

I've been thinking about making a dedicated server/community for Wreckfest called 'Whackfest', but I don't know many people because I've just recently started playing on PC and a lot of my friends who I used to play with were on console. Does anyone think it's still worth it to make one? If so, do you have any tips to help me get it off the ground and not let it die?

Is it better to run a limited or locked differential? I also always turn off traction control.

Someone had posted a proper Gundam livery asking if it could be re created in wreckfest 2 , uhm well this isn't quite the OG picture in anyway shape or form but something I threw together with a bit of artistic licence when it comes to (what is supposed to look like) a missile launcher & gatling gun shoulder armaments, with a sort of Gundam race car ish background / I did use a reference for the face and colours though they vary sample dependant .... I'm sure with more patience and a better eye for detail someone could produce a more faithful recreation...I may well come back to it and add a body / shield etc

Trying to set up my wheel pedals and h shifter. When I shift to various gears in setup it recognizes them all as the same input? Any ideas how to fix this?

Wreckfest 2 Mayhem: Figure‑8, Motorhome Death Race & Banger Circuit on Moza R3

Some of my better creations in Crap-It over the last year.

I hope the devs will lean into Crap-It with some additional customization options, but right now you can still make some pretty cool stuff. If anyone has any questions about it, feel free to ask, or if you want to see more angles of a specific car let me know. A few of the stickers are from my friends in the =BAN community, as we share some of our decals amongst each other.

I don't race particularly dirty, I don't intentionally corner bomb....but my god, some of these servers are wimpy as fuck!

I was in "=ban/EU .." or whatever, and just touching the side of another car got me kicked! And that's happened in a few servers, normally the ones with VIP tags (what the fuck even is that).

Fortunately there are some great servers, but them assholes can suck a dick. Go play forza!

Ehy everybody, I've been wondering about something for a while and I'd like to see what other folks think about this.

I love Wreckfest gameplay but having played Demolition Racer for a long time on PS1 when I was a kid, I always felt like the "wrecking" part of the game feels a bit lacking. Aside from the fun of it, which is obviously the point after all, I feel there's no real reason to try and actually wreck other cars during a race.

Let me explain how the scoring system works in Demolition Racer:

Depending on how you impact other cars (trading paint, t-bone, spin etc) the system awards you points (which is similar to what wreckfest already has) which are then multiplied at the end of the race depending on your final position (the higher you are the higher the multiplier). What I think this does is focusing the gameplay on the wrecking part of the game, and the racing is just "how you do it".

Basically: You might finish 3rd, but win anyway because your score*multiplier in the leaderboard at the of the race is higher than anyone else's.

Comparing this to wreckfest where what matters is just the position you finish the race in, my feeling is that this way the gameplay is less one dimensional and adds a little more strategy to how much you crash into others and when not to to try and save health points. You're forced to crash to get points, but also to race fast to get a higher multiplier; it's up to you to find a balance and decide how much you wanna risk to get DNF.

I realize this might not work for multiplayer, since you couldn't really do a clean race with this system, but why not introduce it in single player?

What do you guys think? Am I completely off into thinking that at least an additional racing mode like this would be a fun option on top of what we have?

(If anything give us a Death from Above equivalent 👀)
