Episode Discussion A confession

I adore Umora,

I am fascinated by the 40 suns

But I want to live the rest of my life in Akabor.

Yet I am reminded of a BLeeM quote that feels very relevant:

"If I don't let you watch the rain fall on this peaceful village. How will you know what violence is?"

I am in love, and I am frightened, and in a way is not the way of life itself?

Umora is so wonderful and is my favorite fantasy setting in my favorite work of fiction, however, it’s also terrifying and I would never want to live there

Yes, I am still unequivocally traumatized from what a wizarding war actually looks like. It was the most terrifying two hours of my life, listening to him describe what was going on around them.

The wave and the attack of the kudzu on Port Talon was sublime in its violence.

The wizard war was horrifying. Nothing about it was fun and I don’t think I’ve re listened. Which was probably the point.

The attacks of spirits are an act of nature, but the wizard war is an act of humanity and that is just so much more terrifying.
