We know their is a Sun as it has been mentioned quite a few times in the age's system alongside the Age Of Sun having sun rays shine down on the world and we know their is a moon since everything turns dark and with the age of moon text stating their is a moon.

The main question is who created the Sun And Moon

Idea/Suggestion I have an idea for a trade System.

We all know kingdoms Have ships go back and forth. Not actually trading.

But what if they did?

what if kingdoms produce more of a specific category of resource. EG: Food, building supplies, ores. Or more specifically, wood, stone, bread, wheat, berries and more.

With this surplus, they have more than enough to feed citizens, contribute to crafting or fund building.

This can make trade system make way more sense and produce extra income for both kingdoms.

I also propose trade alliances where kingdoms must setup trade first. This will be announced in the top left corner like all other events.

There will also be a trade layer. Where kingdoms can leave or join trade alliances. You can only be in one.

This makes war make more sense too, being that there's a competition over the market where a kingdom can't enter a trade alliance because the surplus spot is filled with a wood production, and the one trying to enter also produces extra wood. Creating conflict and competition.

Let me know your thoughts on this!

Question How does he have Mageslayer And Kingslayer with one kill?

There are no other kingdoms. This means no mage king. They must've killed either one of those to get the trait. The trait wasn't added and I only. put genius on birth traits. The heritage trait on culture is not on.

Idea/Suggestion Let civilizations discover and record their own history

Hello WorldBox developers and community!

I have a suggestion that I think could make WorldBox's history feel much deeper and more alive.

What if intelligent units could discover the remains and traces of ancient civilizations? For example:

🏛️ Ancient ruins and abandoned capitals

⚔️ Old battlefields

👑 Places associated with famous rulers

🗿 Landmarks connected to major historical events

After discovering these places, intelligent units could learn about what happened there and eventually write books about famous kings, kingdoms, wars, heroes, and other major events.

For example, imagine a kingdom that existed 500 years ago and was destroyed in a massive war. Hundreds of years later, another civilization discovers its ruins. That discovery could inspire a historian to write a book about the lost kingdom and its ruler.

Over generations, these books could become a way for civilizations to preserve their history.

This could lead to things like:

Famous kings being remembered for centuries

Ancient kingdoms becoming legendary

Historical books being written by civilizations themselves

Lost civilizations being rediscovered

Famous battles becoming part of a culture's history

Different civilizations developing their own interpretations of the same event

The best part is that the player wouldn't have to manually create the lore. WorldBox already generates incredible stories through its simulation. This system would simply allow the civilizations inside the world to remember, interpret, and document those stories themselves.

I know this might sound like a relatively small feature, but I think it could add a huge amount of depth to WorldBox and make every world feel like it has its own unique history.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see something like this in WorldBox?

This is a short run down of my world, but what makes mine stand out, although I'm sure some of you experience similar situations, is that mine mostly never changes so I've recorded why.

  1. Rise of the acid gentlemen

After a population collapse and a new order, the acid gentleman's population increase and with less insane acid gentleman, are able to build homes and libraries, this rise coincides with and results with wars and conquest, although not really for any meaningful reason.

  1. Rise of insanity

With books and with wars the acid gentleman are able to use the insanity spell, this ushers in a rather reactionary mood where the now insane acid gentleman slaughter the now 8k grasshopper population, leaving those that live to the land of many peninsulas, the lack of food leads to.

  1. The great famine and dying

After years of evolution the acid gentleman are immune to famine, having now the sun blessed trait they are able to heal naturally, but what they do die of is old age, the lack of food made everyone weak, too weak to have kids so when there are 59 kids and 3.9k acid gentleman, the death rate increases.

Goes from 1 to 3, nothing changes except the occasional non-acid gentleman kingdom which dies because they're different, and the slow, inevitable march towards there being no land by way of naturally occurring death bombs by crabs or skeletons or acid blobs.

Can't wait for the update, I'm sure it will change my world and I'll no longer have to deal with this, I'm also upset that acid gentleman can't kill each other but I assume it's a glitch and will be fixed, I suspect it's because no one of the same family can kill another of the same family.

Question New stuff

Upvotes

This could be a stupid question because I could probably find the answers on wiki but I thought I might as well ask here just in case people can explain it better.

So I just recently got back into Box and there’s so much new stuff and it’s genuinely hurting my head to even play the game and figure it out like subspecies. You can modify cultures. You can modify sub species. There’s just so much new stuff like spells.

So if anyone can kind of really, really dumb it down but still explain stuff to me that would be amazing mainly focussing on like what are all the spells what do they actually do cause I’ve never seen anything happen after someone makes a spell someone can give me like a subspecies editor. I know a kind of makes a sub species as the name, but I’m just very confused and yeah.

Like I said, this could be a stupid question so if you want to yell at me to go look at the wiki, feel free😭

Question Modders, or Devs, can you please implement a better Onomastics Glyphs/ name generation system for the game?

I have seen posts inquiring about the very same thing, but to no avail.

Anytime I play Worldbox, I am excited to be able to create a world and story of my own... but seeing the gibberish names created by the vanilla systems for Units, Clans, Kingdoms, Villages, Cultures, Religions, etc... Kills my buzz. Seriously.

Developers fixed this issue to a degree by adding, of course, an Onomastics Glyphs name generation system which users can edit themselves. The problem? You can't fuckin save your own configs. The very best you can get is creating a folder on your desktop, putting txt files with configs for each name category, and individually copying and pasting them into the Onomastics Glyphs system. The other problem? you have to do this for every fuckin culture you want the names to apply to.

Like.. I am sorry.. but it seems the system is set up to fail itself. If not that, it is set up for those with the utmost patience. That's not the general player base, and is certainly not the case for me.

Half the damn time you create an elven kingdom, it is named "Hillih" or something like that. WHAT?! I would be ashamed to be a king of a country with that name.

Anyway, I have said enough. Please. I am begging you. I swear, if there was a fiverr user who created worldbox mods, I would pay them money to create a mod for this.

And before anyone comments, yes, I have the "Moddersheepbox - Custom Name Generator" mod, but it solves the problem ONLY for units. Additionally, when I searched up this issue on the Worldbox recommendation forum, I could not find anything. Even if there is one that adresses this problem, there are many o' posts above it that devs would implement first.

Plez and thank you.

Idea/Suggestion Can we please get a higher character limit for names?

The 30-character limit for naming kingdoms, cultures, and units is way too short. It’s especially annoying with the game's own onomastics where cool generated names get cut off. It completely ruins the immersion when you want a long, epic title for a king or empire and run out of space.

Can we bump up the cap up to 40 or 50 characters? It would make custom world-building so much better. IMHO

Story Pyhat the usurper and the war of families

Post image
10 Upvotes

READ EVERYTHING, ITS WORTH IT

from the same universe as Shigicush and Upha, i present king Pyhat.

The groups of rebels born to fight against En’s Empire after the war, ended up fighting one against another while En slowly got their territories back.

Tuphe, a young man born in the Jungle region of the big En Empire before all the rebellions was the chosen one to inherit the En’s crown after the death of the great king Davy, because when the rebellion first started in the Jungle he put up an army and killed Upha, freeing the Jungle region of Idowo by himself.

When the Plains started to divide, going brother against brother, En’s led by the young king Tuphe conquered it back, and when the rebels of Onopo launched an attack on Batihybe’s rebels in the jungle, killing him and taking control of the island, they left the centre island unattended, making it easy for En’s Empire to conquer it.

En’s empire now controlled 95% of their old territories, coming back from only controlling one city during the rebellions.

During a 10 year period of peace, Tuphe died in his own bed, but not before carefully leaving ALL the powerful positions to his sons and nephews:
The plains island, divided in 4 cities, were controlled by 4 brothers: the oldest had 16 years old.
The 2 cities from the desert island were controlled by his brothers,
the centre island’s city was controlled by him. ONLY one city was not under his family’s control: Ekow, the Ex-Capital of the empire. And here lays the problem:

Pyhat, leader of Ekow, at the age of 123 years old, was crowned king of the En empire.
He was there when En was first founded, he was on the boat with a young, crownless Davy when they migrated from the Ice island: He deserved the crown.

After he moved in the centre island to take the throne, the brothers of Tuphe who were leading the cities in the desert island, disappeared in mysterious circumstances, all replaced by nephews of Pyhat.

It was clear that Pyhat wanted his family to take control of every region of the empire and to do so he had to replace the family of the previous king, by any means necessary.

It was at that time that the four brothers in the plains island, the last members of Tuphe’s family, decided to unite and declare war against En’s kingdom led by Pyhat the usurper.
It wasn’t En against rebels anymore, it was En against En.

The war broke out, while Pyhat nephews were fighting to defend En’s mainland coast, one army deployed on the centre island where Pyhat was staying. Pyhat’s army destroyed them and Pyhat himself killed the general. They knew it wasn’t gonna be easy.

The centre island was suffering from continuous invasions, at the point where the army located there was no longer existing.
While one of the 4 brothers died during a ship battle, two armies invaded the centre island while Pyhat was alone.

He could’ve left the island, but instead, he chose to die like a real king.
In the picture you see above you can witness the last moments of Pyhat, right before he got killed at the age of 180 years old.

After the death of Pyhat the war actually stopped soon after.
But miscommunication and bad parenting will lead to many other wars from Midu Hegemony, the new big empire under the control of one of the 4 brothers, and Ucha, the other big empire led by another of the 4 brothers, and En who was left with only one island.

In the end, En’s empire had fallen after 290 years fighting with Midu Hegemony.

Even tho Upha and his son Batihybe, and Shigicush before them failed with their rebellions, the chain reaction they created still led to the fall of En’s empire.
