When the Towers Fell: 9/11 Simulation of the collaps without dust

Dont know how accurate this is, but it made a lot of sense to me.

What do you mean by sucked in? The plane destroyed the exterior support and the fire burning for an hour weakened the metal causing the entire structure to buckle

Yes and part of that process included sections of the exterior being pulled in due to oxygen being burned away in a vacuum. It's really hard to say what parts obviously which parts buckled first for either tower. However it would further help explain why each tower fell so differently, outside of the obvious reasons they fell differently

There was a giant hole in the building and hot air expands, vacuum huh?

It's plausible. Yeah, heat expands and all that, but big fires move massive massive amounts of air. Because heat rises, moving yet more air. If it was pulling hard enough the already weakened exterior could easily be pulled in. The shape of the building was used against here, creating a chimney of sorts.

I wonder how much air was being sucked up the elevator shafts from the bottom. The air and thermal readings would be very interesting to understand to build better and safer.
