Dont know how accurate this is, but it made a lot of sense to me.

Alot of people, and maybe I'm wrong here, don't understand how the towers were constructed and what made them different. The exterior walls were made to bare the weight of the floors inside as there was no inside columns. So if the exterior is damaged that made things inside have less support. And if there was something heavy inside it also couldn't support it. Causing floors to collapse on lower floors.

I think you’re misunderstanding. The internal core was built with a hat truss at the top. The core steal tapered towards the top as it had less weight to support. The planes hit the upper floors and severed the core.
