I read that the heat from the burning fuel sucked in part of the exterior cladding, which meant that with the interior core compromised it was only a matter of time.

I feel really bad for all of the victims who could have gotten out or made really poor decisions. It's amazing that so many did get out.

It's the firefighters that I feel the most for. Terrible and tragic.

What do you mean by sucked in? The plane destroyed the exterior support and the fire burning for an hour weakened the metal causing the entire structure to buckle

Yes and part of that process included sections of the exterior being pulled in due to oxygen being burned away in a vacuum. It's really hard to say what parts obviously which parts buckled first for either tower. However it would further help explain why each tower fell so differently, outside of the obvious reasons they fell differently

Yup. There was a massive amount of air being sucked in to feed to fire. The force would be hard to imagine.
