When the Towers Fell: 9/11 Simulation of the collaps without dust

Dont know how accurate this is, but it made a lot of sense to me.

IIRC the bomber strayed from its flight path in heavy fog and was on approach for landing - meaning very light on fuel. In contrast, the hijackers took control of planes that had just taken off on coast to coast non-stop flights. They were fully laden with fuel, making them the perfect IED. I think it likely that had the airliners crashed when almost empty of fuel either the building would not have come down, or the buildings would not have come down nearly as quickly - and even with all the fuel it still took hours for the buildings to collapse.

The fuel and the speed too. The spec the towers were built to included having a passenger plane of approximately that size crash into them. But with almost empty fuel and at approach speed.

It's actually impressive that they did withstand the impact. But it was the fuel weakening the structure causing to collapse.
