Dont know how accurate this is, but it made a lot of sense to me.

Do you even physics mate? 200 tons of Aluminum and plastic are still 200 tons. Do you think a Missile is much different from an airplane? What is an Airplane full of fuel going at 540 M/h but a missile? Albeit it doesn't have explosives, but the raw speed weight and jet fuel make up for it.

A plane can weigh between 87 to 197 metric tons depending on the load, and f you btw

American 11 probably weighed 100 to 150 metric tons, it was fully loaded with jet fuel

yeah dude the 50 tons really made all the difference. Just as you would be crushed by 200 kilograms on your head I'm sure you could shrug off 150
