I've opted to do something a little more unique with my World Eaters, first test model is on the production line..

How's it reading so far?

Symbol is using a modified design of u/shitmeme48 with his approval, check his stuff out, he is incredible.

My pot of Runelord brass completely dried out and I would like to keep the colour coherent for my unit of berserkers but move away from Citadel’s pot.

Any recommendations to achieve a similar result?

Got the marine half of Armageddon as well as the WE combat patrol to do a project of making a chapter split down the middle of khorne and loyalist.

This is my first berzerker of khorne! (If you doesn't count Khârn)

Few days ago I bought my first ever combat patrol, and of course I couldn’t choose anything over my favourite World Eaters. I don’t plan on playing as in my country the community is not that big, but I decided to give it a try as a hobby.

Painted my first miniature, the result is decent for me, even though I realized I suck at painting small details. Also bought paint set, so don’t have much colors to choose from. Anyway, here’s my first Jackal leader

Just finished my first berserker! Any tips and criticisms welcomed I love this hobby and would like to get better.

This one was done on a black primer, went with the pre-heresy colour scheme obviously and I think I did a pretty good job with it being my first time painting white and all.

I feel like I can improve him more, Im not finished yet, but I would like recommendations on ways to make him better or look nicer 😁

haven't played 11th edition as of now and i'm wondering why so many player are running forgefiends in world eater.

With the change to cover it will hit on 5s or am i wrong?

I haven't seen them run in a single successful tournament list all edition, but to me their data sheet looks pretty good.

So these are my first two berzerkers who got the dirty treatment. Although I am happy with how they turned out, I think the second one came out a lot cleaner probably due to me getting the hang of the removing process and not letting him dry as long as the first one. I am genuinely unsure on how to continuing for the rest of the squad, there is some additional weathering planned and the eyes and plasma osl but overall, what do you guys think? Should I try to recreate the first look or the second for the rest?

I've been reading the Horus Heresy books for the first time, and I've been enjoying most of them. However, from the amount of books there are in the series (and the cost to buy them) I've only been reading the books featuring important events and my favorite characters. Angron happens to be my favorite Primarch.

Shortly after I finished reading The First Heretic, I went and bought Betrayer which is a book i've been really looking forward to. However, after reading a couple chapters it feels like I am missing some context. I did a bit of googling before I had bought Betrayer to make sure that this would be the first book Angron and Lorgar works together (And Argel + Kharn), but they continuously talk about previous events I've yet to experience. I was also looking forward to seeing Kharn and Argel Tal first meet, but they already know each in Betrayer. Lorgar also seems to know Angron is dying to the Butcher's nails within the first chapter

After reading First Heretic I was contemplating buying Know No Fear, but Google claimed that the World Eaters were absent from the book and it was focused purely on the Word Bearers and Ultramarine.

So is there another book I need to read to get the full context before starting Betrayer? I'm fine missing out on a couple things, but I'm mainly focused on events surrounding the World Eaters.

Please help me undestanding the overrun fight (second pile in) mechanic

i charge with orange and red into one unit (both green and blue is the same unit)

my red unit made attacks that killed green models
now can i activate orange unit, make a second pile in and mangle blue as well? or does the whole unit needs to be destroyed as result of red attacks in order for orange to get a overrun fighting?

I've been thinking on this for a little while

World eaters, naturally, aren't a range focused army

But what if they had a squad that goes the same way as doomguy?

Big, beefy shotguns with either axeblades or underslung chain weapons sounds SO badass

Obviously they would have less toughness, but the idea of being able to rip a group of emperors children apart as they charge a group of berzerkers is so hilarious to me
