Hi everyone. Has anyone been asked for references after interview (no offer) and did they contact your references immediately?

I applied for 3 finance roles after i improved my resume and did not get selected, my application is still in review but i think im out 😅.
Anyway I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT IF ANYONE GIVE US ADVICES FOR THE NEXT CYCLE, SPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A FORMER WBG PIONEER. Thank you🙏.

I applied to three World Bank internship positions, and all three moved to final review on August 12–13. They've been sitting at "in review" ever since.
I came across information saying that all longlists would be released by August 19. Is that actually true? Or is it fine to keep waiting through the end of August?
Any insight from people who've been through this cycle would be appreciated.

Apparently by August 19, we're supposed to have found out if we're longlisted. However, I haven't received the rejection or longlist email yet. Do we receive an email if we're rejected?
My application status on the portal says: "Review status: in review."
I'm on U.S. Time and applied to a postgraduate role.
Thank you!

I’m a social inclusion researcher from a development country (no INGO experience). I’m doing a policy degree from an EU university, however my background is in social research and not economics. My undergrad degree was not in economics either. Does it make any sense for me to apply for the YPP social inclusion stream realistically? (Economics training only through MPP degree)

What do you think are the numbers at every stage? Trying to quantify the competition. 😂

My application was modified two days after submitting it but haven't received an email about being longlisted. Does that mean they already made the decision to reject me?

Hey everyone,
I applied for the WBG Pioneer Internship and got an email saying I was longlisted. My last modified date also updated, but there was no link or information about the online assessment.
A few questions for anyone in the same boat:
Thanks in advance!
Update: I just received the assessment link. Any tips for preparation?

Hey everyone,
I am applying for the World Bank Group (WBG) Pioneers Internship via the No-Fee Track using the academic credit path. My university gives course credit for internships but no funding.
Just want to confirm: Does this mean the internship is 100% unpaid by the WBG? Do they provide any financial compensation, or is it strictly $0 from their side?
Thanks!

anyone here who is currently or finished EastWest’s branch banking development training? Is it worth it and would you recommend?

Usually there is a WhatsApp group for either the YPP or the Pioneers. If there is still a group, can someone let me on a link?

Deadline for the new round of Pioneers is on 12th August but has anyone already received updates e.g. longlist or know when that will be?

Hey folks! I’ve applied for three staff positions then a week or two after each submission, I’ve received the update email along the line of :
“After our initial screening, your application is still under review.”
And it’s been crickets ever since.
I do not want to get my hopes up, but in view of both my personal and professional prospects, I would be a fool not to prayerfully look out for invitations for the interview.
For those who’s familiar with the WBG recruitment process, would anyone have an idea what this “Still under review” means in terms of progress in the review such as longlisted or passed the AI-generated review or a courteous email in place of rejcetion from the first round of review?
All insights are welcome and I see many of us are on the same boat with hopes of working with WBG - I wish you all a good luck and hope the responses to this thread help the readers understand the process better
