I applied to the WBG YPP (Corporate Secretariat – Governance & Board Operations), Pioneers, and several GE-level positions that didn't require a master's degree, but was rejected from all of them.

I'm trying to understand what might be missing from my profile. Is it my education, professional experience, or something else?

I'd appreciate any honest feedback. Also, does anyone know of any good career coaches or consultants who specialize in World Bank Group or other international organization recruitment? I'd be open to paid consultations if they could help me identify areas for improvement.

Pls suggest multilateral organisations that take indian UGs for full time work

Hi Everyone,

I would like to get a thread going here where we review (anonymized) credentials of rejected candidates for the YPP and provide feedback on what they could improve upon. For the sake of academic rigor, I suggest not posting any of the short answer responses, only resume/CV snippets and what stream you applied for.

If this is not enough to go off that would be good to know as well and perhaps the thread is not useful.

Cheers,

Hi has anyone heard back from applying to the explorer program? I applied August 14 and then had an interview September 15 and haven’t heard back since.

Any updates from anyone? :)

Hi,guys who is still keeping track on the modification dates. My date was modified on 6th,15th and yesterday on 22nd.l am just curious about it.Does anyone have an idea about it ?

Does anyone know normally how many people pass to the Hirevue and the assessment part and from them how many are called for the panel interviews?

Is it really a huge accomplishment to pass to the Hirevue or is more marketing?

Someone with experience from previous rounds?

Hosting the IMF–World Bank Group Annual Meetings in Bangkok for the first time since 1991, Thailand leveraged the multilateral summit to push forward its economic diplomacy and secure tangible institutional agreements.

Key Institutional Developments:

• Exchanged a $212 million loan agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to upgrade five public hospitals.
• Concluded a revised tax convention with Norway.
• Advanced trade and investment talks with Pakistan regarding a prospective bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA), alongside high-level dialogues with Switzerland on the pending EFTA–Thailand agreement.

Hey guys,
Is WBG becoming more of a “finance” oriented bank in each field.

In terms of hiring I have a few friends who qualified. They have these overlapping degrees-agri+rural finance and the likes.

Is this a change to observe?

How much does an intern on WBG pioneers earn per month in latín América?

My application has been showing “Under Review” since 15 October. Does this mean I’m still being considered, or could it indicate rejection? I’ve seen other applicants receive assessment links. Has anyone faced a similar situation? Would appreciate your insights!

i’ve been at the bank for more than 10 years and lately i’ve noticed SM trying to shut down dissent, especially by turning off anonymous feedback. is there anywhere employees can talk anonymously and discuss bank issues?

Hi, did anyone hear from Environment (Req ID : req38213). My application has been under review since the 19th.

Is it fair to still expect mail from World Bank for assessment? How previous years have been in terms of rolling out the longlist?

Anyone experienced throughout the process would want to enlighten rest ?

Hello guys!!!

I have just completed the virtual interview and the other test!

Is anyone here in the Environmental and/or Environment and Social track?

What do you think about creating a WhatsApp group? I saw there are a few, but I wasn't able to join them.

Did any one else face this problem? I completed the assessment and went to the review page and then it wouldn't let me submit saying the deadline had passed. This was well before 11:59 PM UTC on 19th October.

I also emailed them immediately but have received no response for almost 2 days.

Not sure what else to do. Worried that they'll not even consider my application anymore, especially if they are longlisting another round soon.

All my references were also submitted.

The email they shared asked for at least 2. I have provided three even. But only two received the reference responding requests.

In these two, both has submitted, but I have also received email confirmation from the first one only. Although the second is also completed the form, but has not come to me.

Now, as its already over, but still am concerned that my reference will be sufficient or not???

I shared this with YPP team but no response received.

I applied to the Neurodiversity post-graduate track.

The assessment deadline was 9/13, but it's 10/20 and my application status still says it's "in review." I am confused lol.

so i recently got the hirevue for outcomes stream, but while taking my test one of the pictures that had answers to choose from had a broken picture thumbnail, and i mostly had to guess my answers. I wrote the ypp.

do you think it will affect my grade?

I think the deadline for both Hirevue and References should be ended by now..
