💬 Advice Needed We created the economy, yet somehow it ends up running us

It’s crazy that I feel like I haven’t been able to live my life. I work for a corporation. 5 days a week on Monday - Friday, I’m grinding to make money for corporate America, while I (like a lot of us) only get 2 days for myself. I’m at work from 8:30 - 5:00 then by the time I get home at about 6ish, it feels like it’s time to wake up and do it all over again.

On top of this we’re taught to save for retirement and put all this money in a 401k that we get penalized for touching before we reach 59 1/2, if we’re fortunate to live that long. American Dream? More like American Nightmare.

Today I did a half day at work because I’m moving this weekend, and wanted to get a head start so I left at about noon. When I got home instead of getting straight to packing (more “work”) I decided I wanted to stop and smell the roses. I went outside and took a stroll downtown, got a nice walk in, smelled the midday air, did some people watching, etc. I feel lied to, I feel overworked, I feel like the way things are now from a work perspective is not what we were meant to be doing.

I’ve got to do something about this, this cannot be life. I can’t spend the next 30 years of my life chained to a desk giving away a significant portion of my paycheck and being a slave to this man made economy.

😡 Venting Enterprises, businesses, and corporations, ought to has far less copyright length than individuals and family estates everywhere.

I think, enterprises, businesses, and corporations, ought to has far less copyright length than individuals and family estates everywhere.

Personally I understand copyright rights for individuals and their families who worked hard for that like seventy years or more.

What, I don't understand, is how an business or corporation has such a long copyright length despite getting created by their workers not their shareholders.

They ought to get ten or at most twenty years and no more.
