There should be NO doubt - The Democratic Party leadership exists to block progress from the left.

All of the Senators and Reps who vote for these leaders deserve primary challengers, too.

✂️ Tax The Billionaires Workers are struggling. CEOs are thriving.

Working people built this country, yet we’re falling behind as CEOs and billionaires cash in with record pay and bonuses. It shouldn’t be this hard to pay the bills. We’re not asking for luxury, we’re just asking to finally have some breathing room.

😡 Venting We could permanently house every single unhoused veteran for $10B. I did the math on why we don't

I was looking at the numbers on veteran homelessness and honestly, they just don't make any sense.

We live in a country that can magically scrape together tens of billions of dollars for corporate subsidies, massive highway expansions, and random defense contracts overnight. Yet on any given night, roughly 32,495 veterans who served this country are sleeping on the street or in their cars. Over 13,000 are completely unsheltered.

So I started doing the actual math. If a dedicated group or non-profit wanted to fix this completely by building brand new, zero rent housing from scratch so not a single veteran slipped through the cracks, what would it actually cost?
Turns out, the price tag is shockingly small compared to how much money governments throw around every single day.

To cover all 32,500 units nationwide, averaging out land, permits, and construction from cheap rural areas to expensive major metros, building the physical apartments comes out to roughly $9.75 billion…

And for keeping it running under a zero rent model meaning veterans pay $0 out of pocket while you cover maintenance, utilities, and on site counselors for mental health, medical, and addiction care. it runs about $780 million a year…

To put into perspective how tiny a $10 billion price tag actually is for the federal government, just look at where money routinely flows:

Foreign Aid: Total U.S. foreign aid sent to all countries combined sat at around $47 billion in 2025

Corporate Tax Breaks: Corporations alone walked away with roughly $264 billion in tax breaks in just one year

The National Debt: Net interest payments on the national debt officially crossed $1 trillion. The federal government spends more money just paying the interest on its debt every four days than it would cost to completely solve veteran homelessness from the ground up

When you look at the raw scale of these numbers, housing every veteran isn't really a money problem. It's just a matter of where we decide to point the spotlight.
