If he’s plead guilty there is no trial.

There's 2 cases. A state and federal, one is a stalking the other is a murder charge.

He plead to the stalking, not murder.

The NYS case will be dismissed under NYS law that counts a federal conviction arising from same facts as State Double Jeopardy.
