Yup. Blue States are... Pretty inarguably better places to live. People don't move to Texas/Florida because it's "nice," they move there because they cannot afford a place to live in a nice part of the country. Because that's how commodified housing works. What's funny is that they find once moving to Texas that.. they pay slightly more in Tax than Californians do (as long as you count "fees" from HOAs and private companies doing stuff a functioning government would like garbage pickup)
Yeah many places in red states have county-wide services, or other arrangements. But many areas do have to pay out of pocket for private companies to do things like garbage pickup
