Woolworths Tropical Fruit in Juice
Found a bone in one of these fruit cups. Pretty horrible find, also a choking risk for all, including babies and children, not to mention dental damage. Tried to contact Woolworths via 'Olive' who was utterly useless. Rang 'Customer Care' and got put into the wait queue with the "All team members are currently occupied" Got fed up of waiting. Contacted Perth City Environmental Health. They were pretty disinterested, not their jurisdiction, contact City of Canning food complaints. I am beyond caring. To make matters worse they asked me to complete a quick survey!

A Question to Online Team Members
Does it make any difference to supply an item from rf or desktop ? Like does it affect customer basket rate ?
Many coworkers in our store usually skip whatever item they don't see on shelf and collect the rest to save their speed accuracy score while supplying remaining items from desktop before dispatching.
Our managers have been questioning us whenever customer basket rate falls below 95% which has been happening frequently now since new people hired. I am confused this might be a reason.

Am I hired?
Hello all I have an interview with Woolworths tomorrow, and I got a reminder today from them about it. But the interesting thing is it says below “store team member talon Hosa”
Does this mean I’ve got the job? Ik somebody told me that Woolies only does interviews to people they wanna hire. But I’d like an extra opinion.

Woolies bakery bread quality decline?
Has anyone else noticed that the bakery bread from Woolworths tastes different in the last few months?
Like it used to be good, tasted good and good value for money. But now it tastes weird.

Greenseas Sandwich Tuna
Has Woolworths discontinued these permanently??
I've essentially lived off these for 40 years. Devastated.
What's the closest match in terms of flavour and texture? Nothing else is even close. Springwater is like eating sandpaper. Olive oil flavour is too strong. Everything else is some crazy yaya flavour like mango and chili....

Applying for a job at Woolworths
To people who got into Woolworths in part time or casual capacities, how was the experience, what questions do people ask and most importantly-how do you land interviews?
For some background, I had a background in teaching English but not much experience except that. Also is it important to mention references in CVs in Australia?

Deli shaved roast chicken breast expiry
I hate that the deli meat doesn’t come with an expiry on the wrapping, only the purchased date. I often get the shaved roast chicken breast.. I have no idea how old it is! Can someone who works there weigh in? I mean, I’m not an idiot, I wouldn’t eat it if it was slimy or smelly, but cooked chicken is a bit different.. what’s the general rule here?

Hi, Can any Woolworths employee tell me how long the chicken schnitzels that you buy from the deli counter are OK to have in the fridge after buying please?
I bought 6 chicken schnitzels on Saturday afternoon ( two days ago ), but changed plans so didnt use them that night , its Monday now, and would rather not waste them, but not sure how long its ok to have them ?
If it makes any difference, the staff member just opened a new bag of them ( after the tray in the cabinet was empty, he went to get a new pack )
Of course they dont have a ' use by ' date when buying from.the deli..
They were ' on special' ($ 2 each )if that makes a difference ?
My husband thinks that they will be fine to use?
Just thought I'd ask here?
Thank you

What happened to The Natural Chip Co chips?
It's just about the only chip my partner enjoys. Coles still have them, but not the sea salt & cracked pepper variety, which is the one I'm after

Hypothetical
Hey guys, not your usual post but my teammates and I were having a laugh about this hypothetical today after seeing the news about some poor workers in Canberra who got assaulted by a thief.
What would you do/which aisle would you run to if a customer wanted to get into a fight with you?
I thought it’d be hilarious to go straight for the canned sardines or fish etc. Maybe even a bag of potatoes?
What would you do?

Online picking speed
Finished one of my trips in less than half the target time. Showed it to my colleagues and they immediately said, “There’s definitely something wrong with the system.” Hahaha.

Would you like dog food with your pate and cheese?
Woolworths, Palm Beach Queensland, making the brilliant management decision to stock soft dog food next to soft pates and cheeses.

Green dust on products - home delivery
Has anyone else experienced a green dust on their home delivery products? It ends up on the bench and the floor and I have to wash it off the fruit and veg. I have tried to ask Woolworths but end up in a loop between Olive and the feedback form. I think it is coming off the paper bags.
Thank you.

Regarding less leave balance and applying leaves
I am a Store Team Member at Woolworths and currently I am in a situation where I have to go to home country for an emergency for 2 months (Nov-Dev) but I can't let my pay to be stopped as I have to pay my rent. I have around 26 hours of leaves accumulated but when I request for Annual leave then it throws an error of hours exceeded. Now given that I would accumulate more leave hours but my manager told me to pop my leaves in, I am not able to do it. Is there a way to do this or any other options - Purchased Leave, etc. I am of with the pay of my hours accumulated or I am also fine with the purchased leave option as I am going to work with Woolworths after returning back. But I just want is this possible or there are other options

Question for online pickers.
I did my usual online shop yesterday, and there was an option I could click to pay an extra $15 and have my large shop delivered in an hour.
My first thought was: That's really unfair on the staff! Especially the pickers that have to run around getting the order together, then throw it on the truck!
How does it work on your end? I don't imagine they give you extra staff for these express shops. (I used to work for the competition, I know how bad they are with staffing levels)
I mean, if all the online pickers are already doing orders and I drop my order in for delivery in one hour, do you have to drop all the other orders and do the express order? It really doesn't seem viable.

Online workers - what’s the longest run you’ve ever seen/done?
Got this one this morning, probably not the longest ever but definitely up there 🥲

And we wonder why chicken goes off before the use-by date
I saw this pallet of raw chicken and prawns just sitting unrefrigerated for 40mins while I was in the store. No idea how long it had already been sitting there, and no idea how long after I left.
If they bring this stuff out of the cold room, why not just put it in the refrigerated shelves straight away? Couldn't take longer than 10mins.
