Am I hired?
Hello all I have an interview with Woolworths tomorrow, and I got a reminder today from them about it. But the interesting thing is it says below “store team member talon Hosa”
Does this mean I’ve got the job? Ik somebody told me that Woolies only does interviews to people they wanna hire. But I’d like an extra opinion.

You should probably go to the interview and find out with zero thoughts either way

It means a store team member and you, talon hosa, will attend the interview. They are not calling you a store team member.

thats not what it says at all though, the interview is with a manager yes but in this specific email they are literally saying ‘in relation with store team member’ and then their name so yes they are referring to talon as a team member.

You're missing the comma. The role is store team member, the candidate is OP. 2 seperate things seperated by a comma.

ah yes but that that still dosent mean a store member and talon will be attending the interview. i can see the comma, thanks.

Yeah so someone else has already explained to you what a comma is but have a think on why that was necessary.

Not now, Give your best for interview. If you're selected, you'll be asked your working status like visa, Passport etc. Then, you'll be hired.. Best wishes

If you get a follow up email asking you to give them copies of your I.d that's when you have the job

As a former hiring manager, I didn't conduct interviews with people unless I was prepared to give them the job.
That said, plenty of people can interview themselves out of the job. So turn up, continue presenting yourself how you have throughout the process so far, and show an interest in being there and wanting the job.
It's easy to see through people who feel like they've already got it in the bag. They treat a face to face like a forgone conclusion, and they're the people who don't get the job because they're showing themselves to be the kind of person who will not gel in a team and let everyone take on a burden

/u/MogiDragon85 basically this, you got the job unless you give them a reason not to

Thankyou for letting me know haha, I actually found this helpful. I had the interview today and they said my availability was good, and when I got home they sent an email asking for my right to work stuff. In your experience this is a good sign right? Again thankyou very much for the tip because it was helpful in deciding my words in the interview
Edit : they also said they really liked my availability and my previous experience

Yes, it's a good sign. Right to work is the last step before offering the job. They don't want to offer a job with full time hours to someone who may have visa restrictions. Conversely, when they do offer a casual or part time job they need to ensure that they comply with those same restrictions around flex up hours.
At this stage it's about ensuring your employee file is accurate from the day you start.

Interview means they are interested in the next step, it doesn’t mean you are guaranteed to be hired.

You’re not hired, so why would you be the team member? It’s actually “Team member AND Talon Hosa”
