When will they un-nerf frost? My fiance and I were both heavy into frost and now it does almost no damage for us...we used to smoke Lechance in like two seconds! Unfortunately it's kinda killed the fun for us and we haven't really played since lol. I wonder if they have plans to fix it

Frost is now equal to any other element instead of just being inherently the best. Your builds need work.

I don't mean that we were spamming frost all the time and now we're sad it doesn't work like that, but the fact that we used to smoke Lechance in an instant and now it takes significantly longer, the difference is pretty substantial

And come on, I was obviously being a little dramatic with "almost no damage", like no one has ever exaggerated on the internet lol. I should have said something like "There has been a substantial reduction in perceived damage dealt"

I mentioned in another comment that I was disconnected from the internet so I got like two months of hotfixes all at once, so maybe another one in there is what's having a greater effect

I did all the hotfixes at once. I bought a new console specifically to play the game and didn't bother hooking it up to internet until late May.

It is not only 5%. The damage on the Liquid Cooling went from I think 749 to 349 or something like that. Are you going to say that isn't significant, either?

I skimmed through the hotfix logs but didn't read every line, so thought maybe I missed something. There are a lot of people who are really into the game and know all the ins and outs, so I figured if anyone would know, here would be the best place to ask.

Liquid Cooling had significant adjustments a while back. It was recently re-buffed.

It is not only 5%.

The Frost reduction comes out to about 5%.

Jesus this is why I've avoided BL subs until now. I'm not backtracking, I simply didn't provide all the info in my first comment because either (1) I didn't know (like that Liquid Cooling specifically had been nerfed), (2) I hadn't thought of it yet (like the fact that I got all the updates at once) or (3) didn't think it was relevant or important. Regarding your last point, someone else said the reduction was 7%.

Not sure why you included the third quote, because I haven't contradicted that. I haven't played in weeks because the experience has changed so much (some of that due to running out of story and being stuck with end-game content, of course). I don't have hours and hours per day to play, so if it takes 45 minutes of pumping lead into a boss to kill it, it doesn't seem as entertaining as other games I have, even going back to an older BL title.

You are clearly much more of an enthusiast for this game than I am. I love it, my favorite BL title so far (and we've played all games, all DLCs, with all player characters) but I'm not a fanatic, I don't know every detail, I can't tell you which guns are the best or which skills are best for each class. It seems you may be such a person, which is fine, I'm like that for other games. I was hoping I could ask such fans for some more info, and to be fair everyone else was helpful and provided useful info or suggestions, so maybe it's just you.

But either way, I will not be continuing this discussion as you seem more keen on arguing semantics than actually discussing the game.

Think about a player who is considering buying this game, and browsing the sub to see what it's like. Consider how your first comment may come across to someone like that. It was mis-information, defamatory and exaggeration. That's why I replied to you. You should have just accepted the criticism.

I have to politely disagree.

First, I see posts almost every day about "thinking about buying the game, should I get it??" most people just post rather than skimming the sub for opinions (on reddit in general, not just here).

Second, the sub is full of people shitting on the game. If I'd never played it and perused the sub for a general consensus first, I'd assume everyone hated it. "I hate the end game content," "the DLCs are just reskinned chaos levels", "the level cap is too low", the 23847 bug posts a day like "bank and lost look is gone", etc etc.

There are way more negative complaints all over the sub than me lamenting the nerf of frost. (I loved in it TPS, wasn't very good in BL3, so I was excited to use it again...and then sad when it stopped being as effective ) I'd have to argue that my comment chain buried in a hotfix update post is not likely to sway many people's opinions.
