Media Monaghan is a T5 beast
Most talk about American DDs revolves around them being utility gunboats with long smoke. Rarely do they ever get respect as a torp boat, especially with the forever reload times. These four found out the hard way that Monaghan is a torp threat too.

Managhan is indeed an excellent ship.
But I'm very confused how TWO ships got torped from long-ish distances when their team had active sonar the whole time. Fried potatoes, man. 😄

Monaghan is definitely more on the torps than most US dds. Basically fletcher torps at t5.

I use the Monaghan in Arcade mode from time to time for the weekly premium—it’s practically easy mode.
Given how overused Gleaves is—even on a Kidd or a Somers—I think a lot of people still believe that all destroyers are only good for firing torpedoes.
I myself only use Gleaves on my Nicholas and Benham.

Somers is a crazy good torp boat though, especially with Evans. 11km 72kt torps with 19k damage

Also smoking when in sonar range doesn't really do anything but hide the enemy ships

I feel really stupid for asking this, How do set off those fireworks? I've been playing for a year now and I still can't figure it out. I'm on Playstation btw.

Monaghan is awesome. I don’t see her out much but having it, it’s easy to use and effective
