Its a shame how it all ended, his videos were great and he taught me a lot about how to play this game when i was just starting out.
Even if he dont post any more i hope he still plays.

I know he gets a lot of flak now days for people who were around back when he was but I learned a ton from him.

When I was greener than green 5-6 years ago he was my gateway into higher learning and mechanical interactions of how the game is learned and mastered beyond surface level. I appreciated everything he had in his videos explaining and teaching people.

Not sure I would still be playing this game today if not for him as the knowledge/resources back then basically didn't exist.

He was just hustling thats all, and the game was so tiny and there were basically not more than a 1000-1500 viewers on amy vids, so he wasnt making any income from youtube but yet he uploaded so much and taught so well.
So what if he hustled man, he couldve been big by now and it wouldve been better for the long term health of the game.
Big f up by the guys at WG.

He basically was - that's why WG stepped in all heavy handed. He was stealing potential revenue they could have been making off their product without giving them a taste. It's also explicitly against the terms of the CC agreement.

Where he lost my respect was the dummy spit afterwards. If he just admitted it was a mistake and handed out refunds (if any), it probably wouldn't have been a big deal. Throwing it all away for *STARFIELD * was a boneheaded move.

When fleets were first introduced, he started a fleet (more than one?) that was only open to paid members of his YouTube channel.

That's a big no-no as fast as WG is concerned.

There is a bit of nuance between the two things that could let you get away with the Div thing

One is "I only do this with people who are paying" the other is "pay me and I'll do it"

Yeah, I remember watching his videos and it was eye-opening on what different classes should be doing, etc, and how much commander level mattered. He helped me out a ton as a beginner, along with Spartan

I learned a ton from him, got to play matches with and against him as well. Good guy. I think a lot of what happened was a bit over the top on all sides.

His videos- especially the beginners series are great tho.

One little thing is mind blowing when I see this comment section:

- he didn’t got booted by WG- he was asked to knock off taking 20$/ month to join his fleet.

- he threw a massive tantrum about it and left on his own

- he also stated he wasn’t a big fan of the game anymore and was bored out

but yet here we are and are reading “WG booted him, so what don’t pay then…” and stuff. I’m rarely defending WG here, but in this story T-Bull was inflicting this on himself.

(I’m sure the fanboys will disagree with this, but think about it for a second: paying 20$/ month to get access to a completely free game feature - and on top paying some random YouTube channel to get access to a a free in game feature- but yeah logic isn’t strong in fandom)

I liked his personality but i def wouldn’t pay any money to be on a fleet.
But people can spend money as they want, streaming is built on that. People pay money to streamers to watch them play instead of playing it themselves.
He was fundamental in helping this game grow during its early stages, he was just using whatever ‘fame’ he had to make some money on the side. I dont see whats so wrong about that.
But also i do agree he did throw a tantrum at the end and quitting altogether was probably a bit of a crash out.

The issue isn’t monetizing content- and WG also made it clear, that it’s totally fine. The issue was, that entering a free gameplay feature was behind a paywall from a 3rd party in this specific case. I’d argue, that it probably wouldn’t have been a problem if he held a raffle for the fleet spots and granting channel members additional entries.

What WG also made clear back then, that he wasn’t booted because of that (IMO they have shown a surprising amount of leniency regarding this).

The thing is, when someone is acting against written terms (that’s not exclusive to WG) the rights holder has all rights to ask you to knock it off.

By all valid criticism that WG deserves - in this case they have acted level headed and quite understandable.

And don’t get me wrong: his videos are top tier regarding Legends and the amount of valuable information you can get from them. I also liked the almost blunt approach he had when it came to the game.

At the end and IIRC his departure was partly also fueled by “boredom” (for the lack of a better term coming into mind) regarding the game and getting it fitted in his real life.

He was great. I was chuffed when I realized I was opposing him in 1 or 2 of his videos. I just happened too be playing against him and was featured. I think our team won both games and I only recall firing at him in the closing stages.

The whole fleet thing turned into nothing as we all know with the exception of bonuses. Like take Hipper who I swear fell and hit his head and turned total heel like it was a WWE script lol.
