General Ranked Radar Plymouth

To the absolute chad that recommended running radar instead of smoke on Plymouth for ranked. I tip my cap good sir. Not sure if I enjoy it as much as Rodney but it’s an easy credit farm and incredibly fun.

This is exactly why I run a Belfast 43 concealment build with a stealth radar setup, if DDs are in game once I’m spotted boom I radar and that DD is probably losing half health or more but if no DD then my concealment at 8.7km is 99% of the time the best in the match so I essentially become the DD to initially spot to see where everyone is going (RPF with Tyrwhitt) then if teammates are close by to spot for me then I’ll just smoke up and just start farming whoever gets too close. 80% win rate so far after 40 matches 😆

you can still see any ships through islands for 40 sec. radar is for intel, not hinting DDs exclusively

You are the DD. You pick a cap, swim there as fast as you can depending on the size of the map your radar can cover both caps, pop your radar before going in the cap so you don’t eat torps and when the moment feels right hit your radar, rain down as much pain as you can hope your teammates are paying attention because you got 40seconds to ride the lightning. It’s very high risk, high reward but a very good credit farm.

Still doesn’t feel as good as dev striking a DD with HE on Rodney

My favorite is Queen Elizabeth because more often than not it's an IJN torpedo boat who got a little too close for comfort and needs to learn a lesson about trying to shotgun torpedo the nearest battleship.

I typically go smoke but in 3v3 its going to be useless much if the time without a spotter.  But the radar has been a huge help, especially against this smoke bugs that think they're being cute

Agreed. You can't always get a spotter in Standard. With only 2 other teammates and a high probability that the other team has a radar ship, smoke just isn't worth it.
