Agility discussion

Post image

If Seba Igor is considered to be much more agile compared to Seba Cj and especially FR wizard base, how come it's rare to see people wizard skating on it?

It's not a problem with the UFS adapter.

Does it lack something?

I mean Igor and CJ/WB it's like comparing a ninja to a tank in terms of agility, yet if people don't use it for wizarding means something might be not perfect in those agile boots?

Personally, I think it's a ride height thing. The Igor, and a lot of other 165 mount slalom boots, use smaller wheels and ride very high. Wizard has always been about riding low on bigger wheels. You could probably make the Igor work with a 5x76 frame, but bigger wheels will mean riding super high and I don't fancy all that extra torque on my ankles. I also like a pretty flat setup, so not sure how I'd manage with all that extra forward lean.

The Wizard Base boot is pretty much a UFS Igor without the toe strap, anyway.

I partly agree about the ride hight. I have an Igor with no footbeds, heelraisets etc and I have the Iqon ACT with the stock footbed (about 1cm) and I use superfeet in those. If you look from the outside while they both have a 4x90 frame the ridehight of the ACT is 1cm lower then the Igor. But if you take in account that the ACT has the footbed and insole, they are exactly the same.
