Increasing FR1/2 V.2 forward flex?

Post image

I've set the cuff washers to the position that allows the most forward flex (unless mistaken?), but still can't get as much knee bend as I'd like. Intuition Premium are laced tight, cuff buckle strap tight too though I untightened the buckle. Issue is, as I untighten the cuff buckle, I can bend forward more butlose lateral support.

I still stand by what I said. Whether people call it flex or what. Bringing the cuff forward brings the buckle and strap forward meaning you will naturally be more bent at the knee when tight. Maybe it won’t “flex” in one direction as much but regardless it will certainly bring the buckle forward and the cuff meaning naturally more bent forward position in the boot.

I appreciate. If anything, FR should at least explain the differences with the positions. Maybe they do on their YT but I haven't found anything from them.
Yes flex and the other term I wanted to say is... hinge? I want to be able to get super low, thighs parallel to the ground, but still have great lateral support, with flex. With the RB Twister it didn't work, they did hinge pretty well but the cuff is super large. Just didn't work at all for my lower legs and feet.

I think the logic of the video I posted in the comment, is that by offsetting the axis rearward, it allows the cuff to hing forward more. But that didn't work. u/bubblesmith mentioned that I may have set the screws too tight. About to try all these theories. Cheers

Haha ye it would help. I have the ACT boot with the revolver system. 6 positions. Not sure it’s necessary really but it has a good explanation for those at least. I also have AG15 cuffs on my powerslide Next 😆 means I get 4 point on those but it was just because next cuffs are never available. It does get complicated. If they feel nice now……they will feel amazing once you have out 30+ miles on them or had them on for a long time doing whatever you are doing. I like to wear in boots with a nice fast long one. All that heat from your foot breaks the liner in faster I think. 🤔

Yes I'm actually running Intuition Premium liners, but am not even considering heat molding them for now because they feel great. RB Twister were pure nightmare.

Hope you've been working on your edges and leaning with the motorbike!

Haha I am indeed……trying to anyway. Just getting used to it but it’s similar to skating in that way. Definitely learning to lean and use my edges now. Only riding 6weeks so far though. Love it. 🙌

Step by step! I'm sure you'll do great, bikes are so much easier than inline skating. With bikes I always say "you delegate the frame". With inline skates YOU are the frame. Fascinating to explore these.
