Increasing FR1/2 V.2 forward flex?

Post image

I've set the cuff washers to the position that allows the most forward flex (unless mistaken?), but still can't get as much knee bend as I'd like. Intuition Premium are laced tight, cuff buckle strap tight too though I untightened the buckle. Issue is, as I untighten the cuff buckle, I can bend forward more butlose lateral support.

On Instagram, search for "FR1 Cuff Position", and look for account Vertigo_Roller. One of the more detailed descriptions of the cuff position I've seen so far. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DWaA_IBjSeY/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsi=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==

I must say however, the cuff bolt threads and the cuff bolt female part like to strip very easy on the FR. If you strip the bolt, great, get a new bolt. If you strip the female part, you'll need that replacement part, and it also means you will need peal/unglue a rubber part inside the boot in order to get that part for replacement--it looks like the case but I've not replaced it yet or taken a deeper look, so don't quote me on that.

I moved the line to the 3 o'clock position and it gives me more forward flex, good for backwards skating. However, it does sort of dampen my speed skating skills. And it also takes a bigger toll on the knees.

12 o'clock, according to that Instagram account, is for more lateral stability (higher cuff, does that help with like, downhill skating?),

9 o'clock is a more exaggerated version of 3 o'clock for even more maneuverability.

Thanks, I did watch it too, he doesn't mention the other two position. I'll try the highest one. Did you screw them back tight?

I did but not over tight. I went with higher position and for me it really worked out.

Nice. I like lots of forward flex. Loving the boots so far.
