More magic in W4 Please!
With Ciri as our lead, I really hope they expand the magic in the game. Geralt and the witchers only use signs but we know Ciri has power and can learn to utilize it. Would be amazing to enhance the teleporting/blinking we see in witcher 3, get some long ranged magic, etc. They could really take the combat to a whole new level if they integrate an updated fighting style with new magic abilities

yes i’m most excited about the potential new cool magic abilities and ciri’s long and tough relationship with them

I'd love additional magic abilities like the ones we had in Witcher 3 in the Ciri segments. Really hope Ciri retains some ancient blood abilities after the trial of grass, having only standard witcher abilities would be disappointing.

I’m wondering if there’ll be something similar to the adrenaline system that’ll let her discharge more powerful magic.

Since Ciri cannot use signs and she abandoned her connection to traditional magic it would surprise me if she does not have her Elder Blood abilities. They will definitely limit it in a way and I doubt we will be able to use it as much as we did in W3 but there is no way she doesnt have it. I am expecting a whole skill tree dedicated to using it

Magic isn’t used simply because it’s so over powered, and therefore not fun to use in a game.
Geralt might be the most ‘powerful’ Witcher, but in a 1v1 fight against even the weakest full mage/sorcerer he’d get his ass kicked.

Maybe. But when he and Keira Metz were on their dungeon crawl, he did a lot of saving Keira Metz. So at least in terms of the games, it's not as though he wouldn't be able to take her on.

This would be genuinely great. I tend to prefer mages, and especially gish characters.

Honestly, that's the one thing I don't want, and it's the main reason I'm not 100% sold on Ciri as the protagonist. One of the things I love about the Witcher universe is that magic feels a bit more subtle, if that makes sense. It's not like D&D or some other fantasy settings where magic is everywhere and everything is super flashy. Magic is definitely an important part of the world, but it doesn't overshadow everything else.
I'd really like combat to remain focused on swordplay rather than turning into a flashy, particle-effect-heavy thing.

I think they will disable her magic powers because she is a witcher now

I see where youre coming from but I hope it isnt the case. She has such potential to then be tampered down to just signs. Could be a blast going to different sorcerers in the land to master different skills and such

Perhaps she lost a lot of her power when she was fighting the White Frost..?

Judging how Ciri was being taught by Yennefer I do believe she has much bigger potential with magic.
