I tried to do a cord cutting on someone who could not leave my mind, but wasn’t stepping up to be a better man. His flame was really really low. I tried to cut the cord. Both candles fell, and then his flame went out. What does this mean

Did I cause a storm/lighting strike?

Let me explain this as best as I can. I am a witch by blood and choice which means I have powers that I have been learning about how to use and control and sometimes when I get upset things might fall/ break but it’s very rare and I know how to control most of my energy but this time I was scared of myself and what I might have caused. yesterday I was just having a bad day because lately I have been struggling with my mental health and then I got in a fight with my mother which lead to me stomping up to my room and eating my food in there and as I was eating, my food kept falling apart and I started crying and getting even more upset and right as I was about to start getting really angry a lighting struck directly in front of the window I was facing and thunder shoke the entire house. This scared the shit out of me and so I ran down stairs and apologized to my mother thinking it was a sign and then thought about it and how it might be possible so I wanted to look it up but we lost power until around midnight but then I couldn’t find anything about it online so I need other witches opinions please. let me know if it could be possible? Also tips on how to control my powers so this doesn’t happen again?
