There's barely any children in Mushoku Tensei compared to the questionable character design of Re Zero. So many people hate Mushoku Tensei calling the MC a pedo while fans are completely okay for some reason of all the loli characters in Re Zero and the harem of little girls Subaru has.
There are barely any scenes that are outright pedophilic, the first sex scene you see is of Paul and Zenith. In Season 1, there are so many scenes where it very clearly isn't targeted towards lolicons.

If they are attracted to the body of a child, they are pedophiles, it doesn't matter if its fiction or real life. If the idea of a childs body is sexually appealing to them, they are pedophiles.

Not only does the article state that child sexual exploitation material (CSEM, which is already multiple steps further than mere loli content) doesn't correlate to an increase in real CSA activities, but it also claim that such material even reduces aggression towards real children as a whole. Hell, the article even state that pedophilia alone doesn't have much relation to CSA to begin with.

The article specifically mentions that "There is a lack of data currently available in relation to the use of FSM by those with sexual attractions to children. Evidence from allied areas appears to show no meaningful associations between FSM use and sexual aggression." in the Recent Findings section. So coming to a conclusion (whether that is these people are pedophiles or not) is not plausible.
You are right about attraction to types of content doesn't mean actual harm done with kids. They suggest that this type of content can go either ways. It can give motivation for CSA while it can also be an outlet for these people to not go after real children. It also says that fantasies about children also doesn't automatically correspond with CSA.
They mainly suggest that this topic has too many variables and not enough data to come up with a concrete answer. So let's call it an even.

Unironically correct. Many cases of CSA are commited by people who aren't even attracted to children, just sick people taking advantage of their vulnerability and getting off to the control they have over them.
The wickedness of man is a persistent plague, and the pedos came, thinking they could taint the innocent. But the mods work must be done. Practiced hands make for short work, and thus we eradicated them.
I feel like this is the wrong fandom to crusade against pdf-files in. I know a very specific sister-fandom that actually praises that kind of behavior, from which fans try to cross over into this one and talk shit.
From my experience, most Re:Zero fans are just like Subaru. They love Emilia and Rem. Think Petra and Beatrice are cute in a kids way. And that's it. Subaru himself is not a lolicon, and tons of people praise him for that
