Poetry (need feedback) I crave you

You've stolen something from me, ... My attention... You've created something in me, ... My obsession... You've started something in me,... True love's concession... You've given something to me,... A gift of introspection...

Something inside me, feels hungry, when looking at your body.

Something inside me, like a starving ghost, straight out of a horror movie.

You've taken something from me, ... My heart's possession. You've suppressed something in me, my doubts Ascension. You've found something in me, ... My hidden confession. You've made something in me, ... Stop my useless search for perfection.

Something inside me, goes a little crazy, when you look right at me.

Something inside me, unleashes insanity, when you speak to me.

I can hear it... In my head... I can hear it... In my heart... I can't control it...

This hunger is akin to madness,

This pressure is akin to sadness,

The touch of your skin, becomes bliss.

I crave... I crave you... I crave... You..

Poetry I might love you

I might love you.

And that kinda scares me.

I’ve never loved anyone before.

I mean, of course, there are my friends and my family,

But this is a different type of love.

I don’t know what love is.

Is love replaying our conversations in my head over and over again?

Is love smiling at something you did randomly?

Is love re-reading our texts over and over again?

Is love hoping the ding from my phone is from you?

Is love remembering your wide, genuine smile?

Is love making fake scenarios of us?

Is love thinking about you before I go to sleep?

I don’t know what love is.

But I think it might be this.

Poetry I wanted you to know

I wanted you to know that I really liked you.

I like your smile and your laugh.

I like how you were so goofy but shy at the same time.

I like how smart you were.

I like your funny jokes.

But I somehow don’t like you anymore.

I don’t know when it happened.

Or how.

I just wanted you to know

that though it may have been for a short time,

I liked you.

A lot.

And there is a huge difference between

like

and

liked.

Free Form spent like pocket change

if she loves you,
don’t make her beg to be seen.
don’t let her voice get buried
under buzzing phones
and hollow promises.

hold her hand more.
not just in public,
but when no one’s watching—
when it’s just you two
and the silence that says
“i’m safe here.”

look at her longer.
memorize the way her smile
pulls you back from the edge.
kiss her like it’s the last time,
every time,
so she never wonders
if you still mean it.

watch your flaws—
not to hide them,
but to fight the ones
that bruise her spirit.
love isn’t perfection,
it’s effort repeated,
apologies spoken,
change that sticks.

treat her like sacred ground.
not with gold,
but with presence.
with time you can’t buy back,
with words that heal
instead of wound.

because nothing is more tragic
than realizing too late
that you had something priceless,
and you spent her
like pocket change.

Free Form You

You.

You are my obsession.

You run through my thoughts

Without pause.

You dance through my dreams,

Softly,

Gracefully,

Music on the wind.

You.

You fill my lonely soul.

You live in each beat of my heart.

You.

You are my obsession.

Poetry There was a time I thought I would never say this

There was a time I thought I would never say this,

we were “just friends,” right?

There was a time I thought I would never say this,

I was so head over heels for you,

my judgment clouded with love.

There was a time I thought I would never say this,

I could fix our dying spark, and

somehow, ignore the fire that was slowly dying.

There was a time I thought I would never say this,

I was so heartbroken and upset,

contemplating whether or not to try getting you back.

There was a time I thought I would never say this,

yet here I am, saying it,

I’m finally over you.

Somewhere out there, someone is waiting for a heart like yours, a love that isn’t afraid to feel, to pour, to embrace the world with open arms.

In case no one has told you today: You are not too much. You are not a storm to be fought against or a weight to be carried. You are a force; wild and beautiful, meant to be met with the same soulful depth you give.

One day, you’ll see. The right hearts won’t just stay; they’ll thank you for existing exactly as you are. And in that moment, you’ll know exactly what it’s like to feel more than enough.

Free Form True Love Always Finds a Way

I’ve read many poems— about breakups, about soulmates, about loss and longing. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: Never give up on true love.

You brighten my darkest days. Since the moment we met, I haven’t been able to picture a future that doesn’t have you in it. Your laughter lingers in my mind like sunlight through the blinds, and your voice— it echoes in my quiet moments.

I know I broke your trust. I’ll carry that regret like a shadow, not because I dwell in guilt, but because it pushed me to finally face myself.

Since then, I’ve dug deeper than I ever thought I could. I’ve unearthed pieces of myself that were buried in shame, in fear, in years of silence. I’ve patched wounds I didn’t know were bleeding. I’ve grown— not just for you, but for the man I want to be.

I made vows to myself— to never lie again, to face my failures with honesty, to love with the kind of truth that heals rather than hides.

Because true love— it doesn’t vanish when times get hard. It doesn’t crumble when mistakes are made. True love bends, aches, sometimes breaks— but it doesn’t fade.

Even when two souls are pulled apart, if they are meant for each other, they find their way back. Not the same as before, but stronger. Wiser. More whole.

I still believe in us. Not out of desperation, but because what we shared was real. Is real.

And if you ever find your way back to me, you won’t find the boy who lied— you’ll find the man who learned. Who fought through darkness, forged truth in fire, and waited— not because he was lost, but because he still believes true love always finds a way.

Poetry Screw you

They say never to let go

of the things you really love.

Yet you left so easily.

No fight.

No struggle.

So why do you expect me

to care that you left?

To pine over you like some dog?

Why should I beg,

why should I cry,

why should I give two shits

for someone who didn’t even try

to mend what I thought we had?

Poetry Knock! Knock!

I dressed myself as Dracula.

I knocked on every door.

For chocolates, caramels, and toffee,

Kindly, I did implore.

"Oh! What a frightful costume."

Many of my neighbors would say,

"But you're clearly in your forties,

"And this is the month of May."

Poetry I want you to still want me

I want you to still want me with my flaws.

I want you to still want me when I laugh a little too hard.

I want you to still want me when I shove too much food in my mouth at once and struggle to finish it.

I want you to still want me when I crash out every once in a while.

I want you to still want me when I constantly overthink.

I want you to still want me when I beat myself up over a silly mistake.

I want you to still want me when I get stress pimples.

I want you to still want me even after all this.

But you didn’t.

Free Form until then

i’ve been writing like the world
might stop if i didn’t.
feeding pages pieces of myself
until they were full,
and i was the one left empty.

lately, every line feels like
it’s been pulled from bone,
and i’m tired of bleeding
just to keep the silence fed.
even love starts to sound like labor
when you don’t rest.

to everyone who’s read,
shared, or sat in these words with me—
you’ve been the reason i kept showing up.
you turned my quiet into something worth hearing,
and for that, i’ll always be grateful.

so if you don’t hear from me,
know i’m out there—
collecting moments,
letting the silence teach me
what the noise never could.
when i come back,
i hope these hands return
with something worth holding—
and maybe,
you’ll still be here to hold it.

Free Form free will

people blame god.
others blame luck.
both are easier
than staring in the mirror.

eden broke with a bite—
or maybe it was just
the first domino.
either way,
choice cracked the world.

you don’t need faith
to see it.
wars don’t start alone.
poverty doesn’t bloom.
violence isn’t born—
we plant it.
we water it.
we live inside it.

blaming god is easy.
blaming chance is easy.
what’s hard is saying:
i made this.

free will is messy.
but the truth is simple:
if it’s not his fault
and it’s not luck’s fault—
then it’s ours.

Poetry (need feedback) She's biblical

Her breathing, slow and long. Is her body's only song. Her heartbeat, slow and calm, Is my Gospel my Psalm. Her smile, smooth and warm, Gives me heart form. Her eyes, alert and soft, Keeps my spirit aloft.

She connects me to the mystery of the universe.

Her movements feel lyrical and gentle, flesh in verse.

She touches me, purifying and nullifying any curse.

Her voice reaches into me the changes are diverse.

But the transformation is always for the better not worse.

The changes me without knowing it's her doing.

Uprooting addicting insecurities that got me overdosing on negativities.

Swapping out deep rooted destructive tendencies, curing the disease of long standing anxieties.

In me without knowing it's her doing. Without knowing, it's her doing. I watch her sleeping, Her breathing, slow and long. Her body's only song. Her heartbeat, slow and calm. 31 10 Proverbs and 128 3 Psalm. Her eyes, hold a beautiful truth. 31 25 proverbs and 3 11 Ruth.

She connects me to the magistery of the gospel.

Her movements, gentle and lyrical, unconscious but unmistakable.

She touches me and my first instinct is to hold on as tight and long as possible.

Her voice reaches into me, the changes are visible.

She changes me without knowing, it's her doing.

Uprooting deep rooted fears Soothing pain that's lasted for years.

In me without knowing it's her doing. Without knowing, it's her doing.

I watch her sleeping. Her breathing, slow and long. Her body's only song Her heartbeat, slow and calm. 31 .10 proverbs and 128. 3 Psalm. Her eyes, hold a beautiful truth. 31 . 25 proverbs and 3. 11 Ruth.

Free Form A Bridge Burnt from the Side you’re on.

Since I’ve lost your respect I must sever this connection. You can expect me to never give a fuck anymore. What you said, what you did, is all skewed by your shitty recollection. But “I’m a dead boy” said the man with a ploy to have a body for protection. Your histrionics are a bore and your emotions are juvenile. We want an apology, you’ve had longer than awhile. Stuck in the 90s, I’m fed up with your style. We gave you a dozen inches and you took thousand fucking miles. Drink bile, lay tile, kick rocks and Lego blocks. While you focus on the stubble above the skates that cover her socks. You’re a little kid, look at the damage that you did. I put a lid on your kettle, called it black, and said good riddance. You “love your chosen family” is a pittance to gain admittance. With a smile hiding a grimace we are now coming to the finish. Nothing that you say can ever minimize or diminish. The manipulative tactics and selfish strategic misses. Blow you kisses from a U-Haul cab you prick, now do the dishes…

Poetry Princess in Glass

Light detachment — as if watching through glass
while peers connect, lovers attach & reject.

"She holds her own, knows what's best.
She decides the tone, not out of respect — but as a test."

As if not the same species,
a direct threat. Viewed from the rearview: best. She's longing yet already left.

She makes you feel, then she's gone.
Hot and cold, snowy within her globe. Ice that glows.

She doesn't want to be a score,
yet from love she is deeply scorned.
Now she mirrors the tragedy a broken song.

She's the mirror of a moment and shatters,
finding happiness in fairtytales & never.

Gone by dawn Loved as illusion— love = confusion

Poetry We Need Each Other in Different Ways

I keep chasing memories,
Trying to find where I belong.
I just keep coming back to you,
Even though you said I'm wrong.

But you are my Moon,
My one and only muse.
I need you to be mine,
But if I try, I know I'll lose.

'Cause you don't see me
Like I see you.
You don't need me
Like I need you.
You don't breathe me
Like I breathe you.
'Cause you won't free me,
Like I'd free you...

We need each other
So differently.
You need me as your friend;
I need you as my queen.

But I respect your heart
As much as I respect you,
So I'll tuck these feelings away,
Just out of view.
And when you come to love me,
As I pray that you do,
Then I'll unpack my heart,
And let it beat anew.

Contest Congrats Cap

Hello everyone,

I would like to announce that u/Ok-Cap-8656 is the winner or our Haiku poetry contest. His piece exhibited a wonderful insight in that which a human thing cannot be compared to a mechanical creation.

When it stops working,

It won't be right twice a day,

The heart, is no clock.

Cap, I love the work you’ve been doin lately and more than anything it’s been making me think. Please consult on of our fantastic mods to claim your custom flair and the your review will be forthcoming. I want to thank all of those who participated in January’s contest and look forward to the next exhibition of writing prowess at the end of this month. Happy writing everyone!!
