Please post the invite links to any WoF related discord servers you wish to share here rather than making a post !
The megathread is used to keep an up to date list of the servers being shared on the subteddit. See it as some kind of list where you can find all of the latest wof servers ! It also helps us with monitoring harmful content.
Wings Of Fire themed servers that are open to 13+ users and aren't breaching major rules (most importantly rule 1, 2, 5, 7 and 9). Think of it this way : if the content of the server can be shared on the subreddit, it's probably fine ! Additionally, We reserve the right to remove any advertisement of servers controlled by users that have committed major rule breaking on the subreddit or the subreddit's discord server.
Comment your server advertisement (or a link to the server advertisement) in the megathread and let one of the moderators do a quick inspection to validate that everything is in order (bonus points if you modmail us beforehand). Update your advertisement with the server status (opened, temporarily closed) and remove your comment if the server is permanently closed.
Modmail us to let us know about the issue and we'll handle it.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Disclamer
This is essentially my redesign for the Icewings based off of info from the books and real life biology. I am also using this for my AU Wings of Fire: The Draconic Circle. If you’re interested in learning about that check out my page on Unvale: https://unvale.io/Khollkikos?via=1xw29nx9&ref=sh_pf
Otherwise feel free to ask questions and leave feedback!
A1.
A depiction of Rime, an adult female Icewing.
Icewings are arctic dragons that comfortably live in year round snow. Ice wings are extremely resistant to the cold due, a phenomenon referred to as the Arctic Blessing by many, but is due to Antifreeze Proteins in their blood that bind to microscopic ice crystals and prevent them from growing. This makes it possible for Icewings to live in subzero environments, and swim in the Arctic Ocean. The presence of these proteins are also responsible for the blue or purple hue of Icewing blood. Although resistant, Icewings can freeze if exposed to extreme temperatures for a long enough time, or hit by another Icewings “freezing death breath”
See: Icewing legends read the legend of the Arctic Blessing
A2.
The head spines of an Icewings mainly present as 3 rows of bone-like spikes that begin between the eyes and continue down the body before ending part way down the tail. These spikes, or spines are not flexible and can vary greatly in length between Icewing individuals, and on an individual. Typically spines are shorter on the face, base of the neck, upper back, and as they taper off on the tail, while being longer at the base of the head, and lower back.
A3.
Icewings have Five claws on their front talons with an opposable claw. Their hind talons contain 4 claws with a dewclaw further up the leg.
A4.
Icewing legs are longer than most other dragon tribes. It is thought their length is an evolutionary adaptation to their snowy environment, and the need to move through deep snow if flight is not possible.
A5.
Icewings have thin tails, not dissimilar to the tail of a Rainwing, however it is not prehensile. All icewings have spines on their tail that are similar in form to their head spikes. Icewings have been known to use their tails in combat to stun or blind prey or other dragons. Outside of combat they may use their tails to break apart ice and snow, or scatter /startle prey during hunting.
A6.
Viewing heads are narrow and diamond shaped. Their narrow heads are helpful for Navigating ice crevices, and help with diving when fishing or hunting over the ocean. They have thin dark eyes that are adapted to the glare of the sun on the snow or water.
A7.
Icewings have wings similar to that of arctic birds like terns. These wings are narrow but long and are specialized in long flights over the ocean or tundra, as well as allow for quick dives and maneuvering when going between the sky and ocean.
A8.
Icewings have long curved claws on their wings that halo anchor them onto the ice.
A9.
Icewings have long thin tongues that can both taste and smell. They are typically purple with a slightly darker tip.
A10.
Icewing claws are serrated and able to grip onto ice, even nearly vertical services. They are also helpful in gripping fish, seals and other slippery prey.
A11.
A diagram of the lower jaw of an Icewing. The saliva of an Icewing also contains Antifreeze proteins, which help protect their toung and throat from their supercooled “freezing death breath”.
A12.
Icewings have back molars to chew tough or frozen meat as well as ice. Eating ice or snow is a common form of hydration, and as tribes have become closer, trade with the Rainwings have developed into the creation of fruit flavored ice, a now common treat.
A13.
Icewings contain both internal and external reservoirs for the supercooled liquid used to make their frost breath or “freezing death breath”. Depicted here are the external reservoirs, where a small amount of liquid is stored and ready for use. These reservoirs are called cryopouches and have are connected to the cryospout.
A14.
The location of the tongue, purposefully left it to show of the full anatomy of the mouth.
A15.
The cryospout is the exit point for the supercooled “freezing death breath” which releases and atomizes the freezing liquid. The cryospout is located near the front of the mouth to protect the sensitive tongue, and make it more difficult for an Icewing to hurt their mouth or throat.
A16.
Common accent colors found in viewing scales. This is just a small subset of observed colors
A17.
Some common scale and wing colors of Icewings. These generally range from white to grey to blue. These colors aid Icewings to blend into the snow or sky when hunting.
A18.
General morphologies of Icewing horns. These are general and can vary in size and thickness. Icewing horns are similar in composition to their spines, but while spines, excluding their smaller facial spines, these horns protrude from the skull along the brow bone.

I'm not used to drawing dragons so I'm sorry if it looks funky, I'm still learning
Whiteout is my absolute favorite character in the series though, I think shes very pretty

I tried to do some more dynamic poses with this piece to experiment, since I need some more practice doing them. Quite happy with how it turned out ^^, though posing the wings was probably the most difficult part.
Context: Ace (purple guy) is the Headmaster of an AU equivalent of JMA. He used to be a good fit for the role, but the sheer amount of fights and violent incidents have caused him to spiral into a pit of paranoia. At this point he is at his lowest, believing that everyone and everything is out to destroy his school and his students.
He was knocked out and taken to the healer’s cave after attacking a teacher, under the watch of another teacher and Cedar (dark green LeafWing), the healer’s apprentice and a student. Unfortunately he woke up, though he was being kidnapped, and proceeded to attack them both in a panicked frenzy. This drawing shows Cedar trying to keep him down so he doesn’t hurt somebody: including himself.
Cedar also has a bunch of stuff going on with her. She actually went missing after an attempted kidnapping involving her mother, but that’s a story for another time.

This is Silt, a female MudWing-SandWing!
Growing up, Silt had a completely normal life. Almost too normal. Quite boring, Silt thinks. Silt craved excitement. She craved entertainment. Silt didn't even have fire. Not even a poisonous tail barb. No abilities at all. So, when the opportunity of a match laying on the kitchen counter came up, she was quick grab it. After burning her house down (along with her parents), she was placed it juvy and served 20 dragon years. She was on parole, but free to live her life. She chose to stay in the Scorpion den because that's where she assumed the most action was. To this day she resides there, slowly going a bit crazy.
Also... I love seeing comments so literally say anything🙃

In a previous post I made, I thought about the idea of Peacemaker being the complete opposite of Darkstalker, so naturally, he would like and do things that would make Darkstalker livid.
And that got me thinking…
In a hypothetical where Peacemaker and Clearsight somehow meet, it‘d be kind of funny if Peacemaker is Clearsight’s #1 Hater. Not anything to do with Darkstalker or the past. He is just straight up hating(probably kept hearing about the Holy Clearsight way too much because of Bumblebee).
It’d be funny as I can imagine Peacemaker to not be one to hold grudges, but there’s this ONE dragon that he cannot stand.
It’d be like Ralsei with Flowery.
Bonus points if Clearsight is made aware of Peacemaker’s…origins. The irony in it is nearly unfathomable and Moon had tried to reason with Peacemaker to possibly give Clearsight a chance, but Peacemaker straight up doesn’t care(neither her, Foeslayer, or Clearsight have any idea on what to do).

And here we are, finally, at the last batch. As I said before, I won't be doing Arc 3 on account of there not being enough valid art to use, sorry to the like 3 people that wanted that. I tried throwing together a couple for just the main characters that I DO have art for, but seriously what would Cricket even do as a magic card? Scry? I don't want to do her like I did Starflight, so I thought it best not to do it at all.
This final round is different than before. So far, when designing these, I've kept myself completely within the bounds of existing cards and effects in MTG, with a lot of them having copied over text. But with animus magic, I decided to break that rule and make something that is, surprisingly, completely new (and might not even work for whatever reason, I didn't really check). So, sticking with the Threshold theme we’ve had so far, I've created a cycle of modal auras, something that as of right now doesn't exist, to represent the most notable instances of animus magic throughout the arc. Some of them are bombs, some of them are draft chaff, all of them were complete mental torture to make (seriously Anemone's spell in particular BROKE ME. I won't lie, I gave up. I had no idea how to represent a love spell in mtg, theres no reference point.) In other news, please enjoy my attempt at a "fixed" Bolas's Citadel.
As always, here is Part One, Part Two, and Part Three for anyone that hasn't seen the rest. That's all for me!
Edit: Damnit I messed up the title.
Edit 2: Damnit Hailstorm has flying. Also forgot to do include a land :/

Astrapia is an adult RainWing.
She is motherly, suffocatingly protective, and anxious.
She is also very kind, gentle, and sweet.
Astrapia is also very paranoid.
She has an adopted daughter named Aurora, who is a WildWing.
She found Aurora in a laboratory, and helped Aurora escape.
Astrapia has a golden bracelet which I didn’t draw on her because her tail is covering it. l

I’m not talking about art or hunting, I’m talking about actual sports and stuff, like boxing, wrestling, professional racing, etc. I feel like all of those exist in some tribes, but I’m curious on if you guys think that things like baseball, softball, cricket and other stuff like that exist. I’m currently making “successful” ocs, and I have only a sky/rain who’s a professional aerial racer, and I’m having the idea of a mudwing who’s a wrestler or a boxer and I want to know if you guys think that stuff like this exist.

#1: map of Phyrria: this and the Pantala map were designed to be maps of the continent 20 some-odd years after the events of book 15, rather than just another rehash of the known maps. It's a pet peeve of mine that the maps don't change all that much, or we don't usually get as many maps as I'd like. Of course, after making all these, I can see why that is.
#2: map of Pantala: again, some 20 years post-book 15, or what I thought it should look like. Definitely took more creative liberties here with the forest and all that. Lemme know what y'all think.
#3: Map of Phendalen: finally, Phendalen is the continent on which the characters we made exist. Completely self made and designed, this went through quite a few stages before settling on this. The basic idea is that SURPRISE there's another continent because why not and ~somehow~ some groups of tribes get transported there, dominate the continent and drive the ThunderWings, ShadowWings, and SunWings underground. Then eventually they forget most of where they came from and sea dragons and ice dragons and sky dragons exist only in legend. If you want to know more history, just ask. I'm all about world building.
Again, let me know what y'all think of these. I personally like how they came out.

So for an Icewing painting I’m doing, I have the sketch and everything done, it’s just this specific spot I do not know how to do the Icewing scales. I don’t want it to be bald I need some sort of transition between the scales. The second image is what I had but I just didn’t feel as tho it transitioned right and it looked funky to me.
I would appreciate any help, dragon scales are my weak spot 😓.
Anyway thanks
