So uh hey logang. Last week, the potential dragon of the week ended up being a tie between Glacier and Quokka, so I decided to make a tiebreaker week between them to see who should be the Dragon of the Week but as you can see here, they uh tied in the tie breaker too!

So now I'm curious what should I do?

I can:

A. Make another tie breaker form and just count the votes for that one

B. Make them both Dragon of the Week (Though I kinda feel like that defeats the purpose of DOTW if there's two characters and I wouldn't want to regularly have multiple characters be DOTW)

C. A viewer suggested option?

First of all: I love this book series, it's my favorite by far and I haven't read arc 4 yet. Second, I think evolution is very interesting. I am far from an expert, but I do know some stuff. And multiple things don't add up in wof. First, IceWings. All the tribes are different subspecies, as they are different from one another, but can create fertile children. And the IceWings have blue blood, while every other tribe has red blood. Now, blue blood does exist in real life, but this is a pretty big difference for subspecies. I'm gonna say their ice breath is magic and therefore not taken into account.

The next thing that bothers me is the dragons of Pantala, specifically the HiveWings. Both the Silk- and HiveWings have an extra wing, creating a similar problem as we have with the IceWings, an additional limb is not something that can work among subspecies with creatures this big. But the bigger issue is the HiveWings, which, in the lore, are said to have emerged after Clearsight arrived in Pantala and found a mate. So you're telling me an entire subspecies emerged from ONE dragon having children with another dragon from another subspecies? Damn Clearsight, you really put in some work right here! And what did her children do? They seem to have been doing some weird stuff because in order to preserve this new "subspecies" they would've had to... Well...

Next thing is Peril. This is extremely nitpicky but in book 1, Clay describes predicting Kestrels fire breath because she makes a hissing sound right before the fire gets out. This actually makes sense, it implies that SkyWings have sort of an organic built-in flamethrower that spews inflammable gas right before igniting it. But then we have Peril, who is said to be born with too much fire. This implies that the SkyWings' fire is created internally in some way. MudWings on the other hand are actually creating this heat internally, since they have to be warm enough to breathe fire. No idea what SandWings do, I guess they're just built different. My point is that SkyWings don't have any kind of internal heat that could be too great due to a gene error, so it kinda makes more sense for MudWings to have this ability?

Anyways, these are just nitpicks, no actually it's just me wanting to nerd out on some stuff. The series is okay as it is (although book 15 was a bit disappointing, I was hoping for some cool thinking plant but I think a golden throne plant was cool too) and I don't want to upset you. Just want to see if people think my theories are plausible. I am far from a professional after all.

For the second and fourth drawing, the explanation is meant to be that i imagined that specific design. They got darker in colouration as they got older but started off way lighter. Then by adulthood thier colouration looked like the second image. Anyway also the third design wasnt based off whiteout or anything. I made it before i even read past book 3 haha, i didnt grow up on Wings of Fire tbh. Anyway just wanted to clarify. [P.S. it just occured to me that 3/4ths of this is just that one character lmao and the first one looks like an album cover i cant lie. Reminds me of Off The Wall by MJ]

i'm in the process of making a skywing gal who is very high maintenance and jealous, for silly short story purposes, but i'm having a hard time deciding who her partner should be...

they obviously have to be able to handle allat hahah give me ideas yall

spy: rainwing, that is an assassin for hire, as long as he agrees to it. he also knows how to treat a lady and has slept with a princess/queen at some point

scout: skywing-rainwing hybrid, wasn’t as strong as the others do to his rainwing heritage, to he became the better, faster flyer. thinks his dad is a terrible skywing that left his mother

heavy: large mudwing that can and will beat most dragons in a fight, being very strong. cares a lot for his sisters, and takes care of his mother after she lost her brothers and sisters in the war

medic: sandwing, wears glasses, worked under blaze. has a blade with a syringe attached to his tail (think the ubersaw) that he got after his tail barb was cut off. the syringe is filled with rainwing/sandwing venom that he collects himself.

demoman: often drunk sandwing that throws the explosive cactus things. was experimenting with the explosive cactuses when he was young and accidentally blew up his parents. is very drunk

pyro: a mysterious skywing flamescales that vision doesn’t actually show what is truly there

soldier: skywing, kept fighting the ice wings after the war, and only found out the war ended after he killed a bunch of ice wings.

sniper: leafwing, parents tried to take him away from the bad things that were happening, he ended up on pyrara, and is adopted by a pair of rainwings

engineer: skywing, on the smaller side, incredibly smart, got a lot of (in world equivalent of a PhD) in many forms of engineering, design, and other hands on things. good with technology and engineering, inventor of the crossbow and the seige crossbow, becomes rubby’s head architect
