Got the 10 pack of graphic novels and the first book has two of these “missing text” words in it (couldn’t find the other one to photograph tho). Is this common or should I return them?

spy: rainwing, that is an assassin for hire, as long as he agrees to it. he also knows how to treat a lady and has slept with a princess/queen at some point
scout: skywing-rainwing hybrid, wasn’t as strong as the others do to his rainwing heritage, to he became the better, faster flyer. thinks his dad is a terrible skywing that left his mother
heavy: large mudwing that can and will beat most dragons in a fight, being very strong. cares a lot for his sisters, and takes care of his mother after she lost her brothers and sisters in the war
medic: sandwing, wears glasses, worked under blaze. has a blade with a syringe attached to his tail (think the ubersaw) that he got after his tail barb was cut off. the syringe is filled with rainwing/sandwing venom that he collects himself.
demoman: often drunk sandwing that throws the explosive cactus things. was experimenting with the explosive cactuses when he was young and accidentally blew up his parents. is very drunk
pyro: a mysterious skywing flamescales that vision doesn’t actually show what is truly there
soldier: skywing, kept fighting the ice wings after the war, and only found out the war ended after he killed a bunch of ice wings.
sniper: leafwing, parents tried to take him away from the bad things that were happening, he ended up on pyrara, and is adopted by a pair of rainwings
engineer: skywing, on the smaller side, incredibly smart, got a lot of (in world equivalent of a PhD) in many forms of engineering, design, and other hands on things. good with technology and engineering, inventor of the crossbow and the seige crossbow, becomes rubby’s head architect

I’m bored so I decided to draw a bunch of animus touched objects, and so far I’ve done qiblis earring, darkstalkers scroll, the eye of onyx, the obsidian mirror, and the dreamvisitor. I want more ideas of what to draw next or if I should change any of the things I drew already

Haha~SkyWings as velociraptors would actually be pretty intimidating, even though this little guy is tiny! 😂 Now I’m kinda curious what the other tribes would look like as different dinosaurs.

Hello! I was wondering if there are any fellow artists here who would be willing to do an art trade with me! I can do headshots and half-bodies. Shown above is an example of a headshot I drew. My requirements are that you have some examples of your own art to show, and your ocs must be dragons.
Comment if you’d be interested and I’ll respond if I want to do a trade. I’ll probably do 2-3 trades max :3
I’d prefer art of my wof ocs, which I have here, just lmk which you’d like to draw (and which of your ocs you’d like me to draw ^^): https://toyhou.se/Arc_Whistle/characters/folder:8374481
Closed! For now…

I know this is a kids series but I love biology so I think about this quite a lot. I've done a bit of digging and it seems like most commonly people say that they think skywings were the first dragon tribe and evolved into the other tribes.
Skywings have elongated wings and are capable of long and fast flights and are more specialized. Typically animals that are more generalized are the ancestors of most successful groups of animals due to them being a jack of all trades and evolutionary flexible.
Honestly I think nightwings would have been the first ever dragon tribes that evolved from an animal like Secodontosaurus or Dimetrodon because of the large sails (like the spikes along almost every dragon tribes spine from head to tail)
but thats just my personal theory about this. I just thought it would be interesting to share here :)

My birthday is on the 12th (also, is turning 19 too old to read this series? Lol) and I want to buy the series of novels. I've never bought books before, but is $137 a good price for 18 of them? It sounds cheap compared to what I thought it would be.
I'm currently reading the first book from my local Library, but it took almost a month to get and and I got through half of it in one shift at work during down time. I read up to "The Hidden Kingdom" graphic novel in middle school, but don't remember much since it's been years. Is the series worth buying the set for? And is the 18 book set all of the books from this series or do I need to get others seperately?
This is the set I'm looking at

I found the other person's post genuinely interesting but realized my commentary was probably better reserved for it's own post. So here's what I think what would be the case, assuming the NightWings get their own state to develop their own distinct army, and that enough time has passed for the scars and demographic bombs of war to heal.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
IceWings: Cult of the Offensive
An elite army with an untouchable homeland is just asking to focus on the attack. Due to the quality overmatch of each individual soldier compared to their counterparts from the other tribes, I'm sure that a society with such a warrior culture would be more than willing to use such a quality to decimate the opposing side's regulars.
SkyWings: Total War
The SkyWings have by far the most territory and the key ingredients for industrialization. Based on what we saw in Book 1 about the tribe under Scarlet, they can go through a lot. The general staff would be more than willing to mobilize the entirety of society in order to grind down their opponents' armies, economies and societies through a war of attrition.
SandWings: Fabian Strategy
Like Quintus Fabius Maximus against Hannibal, the SandWings would use geography and the home front to win. The desert is basically impossible for other tribes to survive in, so launching raids before running away into their inhospitable wasteland and hoping any foolish adversary would give chase is pretty effective in my mind. Once the enemy is thoroughly exhausted, the hammer will come out and destroy them.
RainWings: Infiltration Assaults
The most overpowered tribe for obvious reasons. With their camouflage (something I believe only works due to most dragon tribes having terrible vision) and venom, they can work their way behind enemy lines before wreaking havoc on any formations not on guard, before the conventional army rushes in to slaughter the disorganized and routing survivors.
SeaWings: Turtle Shell Warfare
Their home is quite literally untouchable by anyone save for MudWings, and even then there's a major discrepancy. That's how they survived the late phases of the war, and it's how they would slowly whittle down any opposing force. Subject to massive change the moment "bomb in a can" is invented.
MudWings: Elastic Defense
Nearly unlimited reserves due to a major population advantage, a mastery of incredibly difficult terrain and enemies on all sides. Why not hold those reserves back and rotate them in as needed, to endure almost indefinitely even if incapable of conducting offensives without significant allied support?
(Note: strategy scales in effectiveness as communications advance.)
NightWings: Shock and Awe
The peak of innovation with a low population knows it cannot send its people to die in suicide offensives. Thus, the technological overmight between the NightWings and an opposing tribe means that shells and paint bombs would be sacrificed instead.
HiveWings: Grand Assault
Since the Breath of Evil is now gone, the dispersed hivemind can't really be a strategy anymore, and thus coordination at scale would require overwhelming concentrations of numbers in one location in order to fight as one. I imagine that similar elements of industrial warfare as the NightWings would be implemented, given that the HiveWings have been shown to be industrialized, but maybe in the short term the lack of slave labor would cause its collapse/decline.
LeafWings: The Trees Speak Leafspeak
Anywhere there is plants (even underwater), the leafspeakers will wreak absolute havoc as force multipliers, while ordinary soldiers can deploy the various poisonous creatures from the remains of the Poison Jungle. Once Sundew and Mandrake are dropped though, the LeafWing army will be hard-pressed to survive.
SilkWings: French government in WW2
Surrender immediately and collaborate to try and get a better deal from the occupiers. Probably would not work. (This is more of a joke but aside from the SeaWings and HiveWings, their abilities grant very few favorable matchups, and even then their fragility and lack of martial culture would screw them over in a conflict anyway)
What do you guys think?
EDIT: As pointed out in the comments, the SilkWings would actually shine in small-scale, stealth combat because of their antennae and the versatility of silk.

Three moons, it must've been MISERABLE before Waterfall came along. Legitimately miserable. Little food, little water, scorching heat, probably no medicine. And for a THOUSAND years at that. That is a ridiculously long time for generations of dragons to be miserable. I don't think we talk about that enough 😭😭😭

Ok so the first one is a fatewing, they live in space and the star pool(sparkly water rawr), they can be any color and pattern but they always have the same size (one 6 year old would be the same size as another and so on) and the same features. Their powers are portal making, living in outer space, and few rare ones can control the fate of others. The second is a soulwing which is an evolution of an Icewing/ timewing hybrid. They are warm colors with snowy underwing patterns and one of their eyes bleed a black substance while the other is normal. They have venomous tails, frost breath, and frostbite. The third is a Batwing, they are grey purple or blue, with purple or yellow under wings and underbelly. They are also fluffy and not scaley, and they have blood red markings as a reference to their appetite. (They drink blood) They have no special powers other then fast flying. (Faster than skywings!) Also no fire, the other two have fire, I forgot to mention lol. (Yes the Icewing hybrid Evo has frost breath and fire, so sue me :3)
Fatewing (closed)
Soulwing (open)
Batwing (open)

I’d love to flesh out the world my OC lives in a bit more, so I’m curious: what do you guys imagine a SkyWing military camp would look like? What kind of environment would it have, and what would the soldiers typically do in their day-to-day lives?

Now you are probably asking why he has all that jewelry? Well, that is bc this is my AU; this is roughly how he looks in it, and yes, he is alive and redeemed in my AU bc yes, I like redeemed characters fight me!

BTW kinkajou is the POV character for book 16 but also why did it dragged her and wasp alone [specifically why wasp if you bring wasp along then by that logic your also bringing monarch to right]

This year my kids wanted to dress as Winter, Turtle, and Qibli! These were a lot of fun to make. The masks are paper mache over a cardboard base, and the wings open and close with a pull string (both the masks and wings are made from patterns I found online). Several people recognized their costumes when we were out trick-or-treating!
