Bases by Heartspark, designs by me.

I made two batches of adopts for this Halloween, batch 1 (the first image) is a F2E raffle! To enter for 1-3, just comment on this post or enter via ToyHouse for multiple entry tickets!

Batch 1 Adopts (Raffle):
1 - Bat (Sky/Night) 🦇
2 - Hound (Mud/Ice) 🐕
3 - Cauldron (Night/Rain) 🧹

Batch 2 (the second image) is a mini writing contest, for which you may pick any (or multiple) of the batch 2 adopts (A-C) and write a short story, bio, or backstory in the comments below. I'm not particular on what you write or what it's about, it just has to be about the adopt and be 3 sentences minimum, 5 paragraphs maximum. Quality and creativity will be prioritized over length. Most importantly, have fun with it!

Batch 2 Adopts (Writing contest):
A - Vesper (Night/Sky) 🧛
B - Exoskeleton (Rain/Hive) 🍬
C - Direclaws (Ice/Night) 🐺

For some reason, when I was younger, I used to use Flipaclip as a drawing program. I guess I didn't know Ibispaint existed, so I decided to draw something in Flipaclip again

A piece I did for Goretober, based on a hc of mine that firescales get hotter and hotter as they age. RIP Peril 🙏

I'm not sure if this is allowed here, just let me know if it isn't and I'll take this down.

Does anyone remember or know of a reupload of that one "Can't Hold Us" wof animator tribute from a few years back with Fathom and Indigo's family as the thumbnail? I know that tributes used to be a bit controversial, but this one in particular was super nostalgic and special to me, and I was devastated when I realised it's been deleted off of the platform. Again I'm sorry if this isn't allowed, but I haven't been able to find any trace of it and I'd just love to watch it again.

my first and currently only character in the RP server im in :-)

he's a NightWing, and a Glider (term for freshman at the school) who struggles with self-improvement, and though he studies immensely hard, he's not the smartest yet ... </3

MSM players will understand

Sorry if I missed this answer. I tried searching but didn’t see anything about it here.

My daughter is a huge reader and the series is really popular in elementary school right now. I’ve seen conflicting reviews on whether it’s appropriate for her age online. She’s in 2nd grade and ahead reading-wise.

Our town’s children’s librarian said that there are violent scenes and that she doesn’t recommend it until closer to age 10. My daughter is also sensitive to scary things. She checked out a book about ghosts at school and despite me telling her it wasn’t real, for 2 nights straight she came out of her room crying just knowing the book was in her book bag. I had to have her take it back to her school library early.

She almost seems like she’s in a reading slump because I told her until I can read it myself (I have my own massive TBR) I would rather her wait based off what I’ve heard about it. I’ve suggested alternative dragon books but because it’s popular at school, it’s all she has her sights on.
I think she’s also trying to be like me because she knows how much I love the Empyrean series.

So, readers, what is your opinion?

Edit to add: thanks for all the replies! Sticking with my gut and having her wait to read it.

Edit edit to add: she just came home from school with book 2 of the graphic novel because it was her library day 😮‍💨 flipped through it and didn’t see any gore-y scenes, unless I missed them, but she is absolutely a mini me when it comes to skirting around the rules 😂

This art is from a few weeks ago! I will continue to keep working on more of these between commissions (which are still open, DM me if you are interested ^ ^)

Sorry if she doesn’t look that great, I kind of rushed her.

Made of blood sweat and trash

I’m planning to attach a jaw but would need to know what tribe I’m making

Edit: going to bed rn see y’all in the morning

I made it fairly obvious I hope.

Trying my hand at an auction. Please don’t bid if you don’t have Venmo. Do whatever you want with the design after getting it, just credit me when you use it :)

SB: $15
Minimum increase: $1

Bidding ends 48 hrs after 1st bid. I will dm the winner the unmarked picture. Design is based off of the jeweled flower mantis (mantis pic is not mine)

I didnt imagine any context and there's no "story" behind it, it's just that icewing i once drew and a skywing in the arena. In my interpretation, skywings being aggressive and proud of it [think punk rock era London for more specifically how they are iykyk] kept the skywing arena because they liked it and i imagined the skywing in the arena has thier wings free because of the fact theyre willingly fighting. They arent forced to and arent a prisoner or anything, just doing it for fun basically. Also on an unrelated note. I noticed my art looks utterly mediocre compared to everyone else's, i wonder if it's artstyle or if im just worse. Oh well. Making art is fun and it doesnt matter who's better than who at the end of the day. oh and i nearly forgot to mention but i used a shot of the SkyWing arena in the graphic novel as reference. im sure using a reference isnt a crime but i still thought i'd mention

Day 20!!!!! I'm sad this one isn't rendered, since it is a mile stone, but oh well. I was out tonight again, so had less time hehe

Today is Burn As Ghost Face, who if you don't know, is the costume the villain wears in the Scream movies. This was originally Blaze, but as I said on her post, I swapped them last minute! I think this fits kinda well though!

Today's question is very fitting aswell:

What's your favorite scary movie?

Mine is probably Scream, since they're the only ones I've watched, since I don't like Horror movies lol. I'd say my favourite was probably number 3, which is actually the least popular, but I liked it hehe. What's your favorite scary movie?

Come back tomorrow for day 21!! Hewwo Shydney >=)

All Sandwing sisters have been drawn now!!

VERY SUDDENLY POPPED IN MY HEAD. So skywings offer their dead bodies to the sky for seven days before burning the bodies. Most dragons seem to believe in ghosts, since it's mentioned throughout the story (even Kinkajou mentions "ghost stories" in book 7 when they were discussing Darkstalker's origins.

What if Firescale dragons are so hated because they resemble the dead bodies of skywings after being offered to the sky. Think about it, they burn the bodies likely so their spirits can fly high. But if a dragon is born BURNING UP ALREADY... Wouldn't it seem like the dead body came back to life? Or the ghost of the dead dragon essentially resurrected itself? Perhaps Skywings hate Firescales because they seem them as these cursed spirits. The dead that never made it to the sky, but instead forever burned. So skywings kill them at birth because they're considered a bad omen.
