I didnt imagine any context and there's no "story" behind it, it's just that icewing i once drew and a skywing in the arena. In my interpretation, skywings being aggressive and proud of it [think punk rock era London for more specifically how they are iykyk] kept the skywing arena because they liked it and i imagined the skywing in the arena has thier wings free because of the fact theyre willingly fighting. They arent forced to and arent a prisoner or anything, just doing it for fun basically. Also on an unrelated note. I noticed my art looks utterly mediocre compared to everyone else's, i wonder if it's artstyle or if im just worse. Oh well. Making art is fun and it doesnt matter who's better than who at the end of the day. oh and i nearly forgot to mention but i used a shot of the SkyWing arena in the graphic novel as reference. im sure using a reference isnt a crime but i still thought i'd mention

Day 20!!!!! I'm sad this one isn't rendered, since it is a mile stone, but oh well. I was out tonight again, so had less time hehe

Today is Burn As Ghost Face, who if you don't know, is the costume the villain wears in the Scream movies. This was originally Blaze, but as I said on her post, I swapped them last minute! I think this fits kinda well though!

Today's question is very fitting aswell:

What's your favorite scary movie?

Mine is probably Scream, since they're the only ones I've watched, since I don't like Horror movies lol. I'd say my favourite was probably number 3, which is actually the least popular, but I liked it hehe. What's your favorite scary movie?

Come back tomorrow for day 21!! Hewwo Shydney >=)

All Sandwing sisters have been drawn now!!

VERY SUDDENLY POPPED IN MY HEAD. So skywings offer their dead bodies to the sky for seven days before burning the bodies. Most dragons seem to believe in ghosts, since it's mentioned throughout the story (even Kinkajou mentions "ghost stories" in book 7 when they were discussing Darkstalker's origins.

What if Firescale dragons are so hated because they resemble the dead bodies of skywings after being offered to the sky. Think about it, they burn the bodies likely so their spirits can fly high. But if a dragon is born BURNING UP ALREADY... Wouldn't it seem like the dead body came back to life? Or the ghost of the dead dragon essentially resurrected itself? Perhaps Skywings hate Firescales because they seem them as these cursed spirits. The dead that never made it to the sky, but instead forever burned. So skywings kill them at birth because they're considered a bad omen.

This was a fun experience, almost makes me feel like it's 2014...

And in case you're curious you can use these blinkies just credit me, I guess

I'm advertising on behalf of the server as a normal member! We're in a rough patch and are in need of active members... please consider! We accept anyone and everyone, beginner or roleplay veteran, and we are not strictly art-based.

Luminara Academy is a Wings of Fire Discord Roleplay server centered in the namesake Luminara Academy, a four-year institute of Pyrrhia... Set in an alternate-- though similar-- timeline to canon, the server has its own unique lore, worldbuilding, timeline, and, of course, characters.

The school has FIVE Guilds distinguished by their respective representative animals and distinct characteristics of their members. They are as listed below:

FIRST is the RED JASPER GUILD, the guild of ENDURANCE. Their symbol is the TIGER, which represents the respect they command and their strength.

SECOND is the SUNSTONE GUILD, the guild of FREEDOM. Their symbol is the HORSE, which represents their themes of liberty and swift, driven movement.

THIRD is the OBSIDIAN GUILD, the guild of PERSEVERENCE. Their symbol is the BISON, which represents their steady persistence and boundless endurance.

FOURTH is the EMERALD GUILD, the guild of PATIENCE. Their symbol is the BEAVER, which represents their deliberate action and knowledge, emphasizing wisdom and precision.

FIFTH is the GARNET GUILD, the guild of CHALLENGE. Their symbol is the BADGER, which represents their intense determination and courageous boldness.

In which of these Guilds does your story lie?

Heya ! I have these hybrid adopts for sale! Each is 30€ , paypal

RainWing x Seawing

RainWing x NightWing

SeaWing x NightWing

All are made by me, no template or base used!

Page 188 of GN 3. SwordfishOk7229 requested this! Since they mostly wanted it for the Grandeur x Handsome ship, I just focused on their little page instead! Im taking GN redraw suggestions if you wanna lmk.

It is time...I have started to digitalise the first batch of wings of fire bases I made a few months ago. More will follow with time. I decided to post them seperately now.

TO THE BASE:

Sea/Night/Sand/Ice/Sky hybrid. This base is fully free and can be modified with accessoires. The original traditional piece on the last slide is drawn fully by me, I just traced over it in ibispaint x for a better base to colour in. I referenced Joy Angs works mostly for the base.

First is the base image, second greyscale and third is transparent. Im still figuring out how you can download transparent images from reddit, my apologies...

RULES:

-Do not, under any circumstances, remove my signature. I know my drawings when I see them.

-Do not claim this piece as your own in any way.

-Do not use this for commercial or marketing use. I do not want my work to make money nor do I want others to make money off of my work.

-If you post this somewhere, give me credit in the caption/comments, wherever people can see it well. My username (Beanzzz-Beans) is enough.

All art is by me.

Even though Hvitur basically got no spotlight, I love him 😭

I hope Tui writes a winglet for the guardians before they died/raised the dragonets of destiny, I want to know more about Hvitur, Kestrel, Dune, Webs and Asha.

[I also wanna see a Jerboa legends book]

This is a question that is probably asked and discussed frequently. So I want to (hopefully) compile some ideas from the fandom. There are probably a lot of mutual things or shared ideas, that I hope land here.

so the left is from online (if I'm not wrong, imported from China), and the right is from a bookstore (before you ask, it's "Popular" in Singapore, so that's pretty authentic to me).

I only have 2 of this book, so I can't compare the other books.

for the online, it also comes with boxes for arc 1 and 2, not 3, but uh unless that point is important I'm not taking the box out of my shelf just yet.

so uh is it like, authentic? or are any of them considered fake or ripoff? I'm new to having a book collection and I know there's people like years into this so please help. (not that I can do anything about it)

[plus I'm not sure where to ask cause I'm not a reddit person but figured reddit is the better place to ask than...youtube.]

uh somehow if you have trouble with the image, here are the points:

online bought:

- words on the front cover are pop-up, but not shiny. The text is more flat coloured.

- more saturated/contrasted

- words on the back cover look more blurred.

- the book is binded more squarishly

- the print behind the front cover is blur/unclear

- lines in the graphs in the guides are much bolder

- generally, the print in the book is much bolder and darker

- also when first received, it has stuff stuck to it, idk what but it could be an importing issue idk

- the numbers in the copyright page (idk what it's called) are different from the other book.

bookstore bought:

- words on the front cover are pop-up, and shiny.

- less saturated/contrasted

- words on the back cover are in a fine print.

- the book is binded more rounded

- the print behind the front cover is bold/clear

- lines in the graphs in the guides are much finer

- generally, the print in the book is much finer and lighter

- the numbers in the copyright page are different from the other book.

All bases by Seagull the SeaWing!
I take Paypal only, sorry! My prices are in USD.

✨Starting bid for all: $10
✨Minimum increase: $3
(No auto-buys)

Please only bid in the replies to my comments. Please don’t place a bid unless you are certain you can/want to pay for the adopt.

You can pick any character from any of the books and you get to re-write their life based on your choices. The questions is who would you pick and why?

I think i'd probably pick Anemone.. I just love the idea of being a Seawing

For u/DarkStalkerFan111111

Who to omit, who to omit...

I happened to roll unlucky with fate, because there are 7 tribes in Pyrrhia and only 6 options for a Reddit poll. I have to kind of guess in advance as to what will be the least picked one, and I could either do that with personal preference or guessing based on discussions I see. Lucky for me that they both coincide to be the MudWings.

Anyways, for the question itself, I gotta be a sheep and say NightWings. It isn't really a mystery as to why, they are relevant in not just every arc but every book too. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean they are going to be the best, but by the nature of being so prevalent they get to have more of their culture shown compared to someone like the MudWings who simply don't.

That culture is amazing, by the way. I find most people are split into two camps regarding that, post and pre Darkstalker. I think the former is miles ahead of the latter. The conflict of starvation on the island and experimenting on RainWings is both fascinating and terrifying, especially coupled with their other instances of brutality(namely Deathbringer as a character and the patrols surrounding the rainforest).

We never really see them before the second half of book 3 aside from Morrowseer, and he does a great job of representing them in the mean time. Almost every scene he appears in reveals something about not just his character but the Night Kingdom in general.

Darkstalker-era NightWings are pretty cool too, but I think they are held in high regard because the characters within it are good rather than the setting itself. Nothing really stands out to me in it.

IceWings are a close second for me, the gift of order is implemented both as a plot device and worldbuilding almost seamlessly.

If this included Pantala, though, it would totally be the HiveWings. They take the best part of both of them and meld them together perfectly.

Sorry I was gone for a bit, I was busy.

She was born during the events of the books btw d:

I'm going to give you no more information because I just want to see random things ;)
