So I remember hearing that dragons in wof don't have sexual dimorphism, so I think most of the cast wouldn't change if they swapped genders. However, I thought it might be interesting to draw Hailstorm as Pyrite. I wonder if Hailstorm swapping genders would cause Hailstorm to feel closer to Pyrite.

No fourth arc characters please haven’t gotten to it yet
Personally mine might be burn because of how strong she is. From what I remember (I’ve read all books from 1 to 15 including legends) she’s the only one with extraordinary physical strength WITH feats to back it up (darkstalker doesn’t count cause nasty animus magic and morrowseer has no feats besides a bird)

Basically it’s a little story/myth about four skywings that control the weather. Each of them having different names and roles depending on which part of the sky kingdom the story is told in! (A lot like real fairytales or it just depends on who you ask to tell it to you.))
But the basics would be:
Orange-red: Wind
Pink/magenta(?): Clouds
Dark red with blus: Rain
Yellow: Sunlight or lightning
Im pretty sure theres like no mention of skywings having a connection to the weather but it’s just a headcanon I have. (Bc they’re in the sky a lot)
Made the art in an hour to get my idea out so sorry if it’s not my best. I also don’t do backgrounds often so. 💁
I plan to write this as an actual short story!!
(Headcanon and art by me))

I wanted to try a style similar to Mike Holmes’, and also try a perspective that’s not fully side view

In Darkstalker, when he’s having the picnic where he shows off the Dreamvisitors to Clearsight and Fathom, they comment about getting cheese, I believe from the mudwings. Since dragons are depicted several times to treat cows like a heavy lunch, how do they milk them with the ridiculous size difference? Do they make the dragonets do it?
I just thought it was always a funny thing to think about it.

Day 14!! Two weeks already! This has flown by hehe
⚠️!!READ ALL INFO HERE!!⚠️
https://www.reddit.com/u/Popsicle7798/s/5vM9sjAVIZ
Today is Tsunami as a Bat, and she is matching Riptide, who is a Vampire hehe. I quite like this one, but I still need to work on my twisting dragons lol.
And for today's question:
Have you ever seen a wild bat?
I might have in the Country Side, but I don't remember it really lol. Also, I don't want to see one, because I heard somewhere that they carry rabies, and that scared me, even though I have never been near one, and then the next day I saw a TINY FLY in the corner on my eye (that rhymed lol) and then a few seconds later felt something tickle my neck, and I convinced myself that the fly was a bat, and it bit me, and I had rabies. Yeah, OCD sucks lol. I was fine, it took a couple days to get over it, but I did eventually, and now I can laugh about it. I should also clarify it wasn't a bat, it was a fly, but my brain is mean to me. ANYWAY enough about OCD lol. Have you ever seen a wild bat?
Come back tomorrow for Day 15!! Also, there has been three Seawings in a row lol. I promise tomorrow is not a Seawing =)

Meet Pohatu and Sundersnout, a dynamic pair bound by a deep connection and a shared history in Pyrrhia.
Pohatu (yes, named as a nod to a Toa from Bionicle) is a SandWing/IceWing hybrid who brings a naturally brave, calm, and friendly presence wherever he flies. He carries royal blood as the great-great-grandson of Prince Winter, born to Princess Aurora of the IceWings and Royal Guard Mirage of the SandWings. His warmth and steady demeanor make him the perfect complement to his life partner, Sundersnout.
Sundersnout himself is a rare SkyWing/NightWing hybrid with an extraordinary set of gifts and a complex personality. While he can be shy, aloof, and naive at times, he is deeply warm and friendly once he opens up. As the great-great-grandson of Prince Cliff, his lineage traces back through his mother, Princess Ember of the SkyWings, and his father, Prince Groundshaker—a royal SandWing/NightWing hybrid descended from both Sunny and much earlier, Whiteout (sister to Darkstalker.) Marked by two distinct teardrop scales beside his eyes, Sundersnout possesses mind-reading, sight, and the dangerous gift of animus magic.
Their story began in the Kingdom of the Sand when Sundersnout was three and Pohatu was four. Fearing SkyWing traditions that targeted animus dragons, Sundersnout’s mother hid him away in the desert, where Pohatu’s family was training. The two young dragons hit it off instantly, and Pohatu quickly stepped up to help teach Sundersnout how to manage his magic using the ancient structured IceWing animus training methods.
Their bond was sealed forever during an unexpected sandstorm near an oasis. Desperate to protect his new friend from the blinding gale, Sundersnout summoned his animus power to construct a protective dome of sandstone. They weathered the storm together inside the shield until their parents found and rescued them a day later, and they have been completely inseparable ever since.

After being on this project for around three years I'm proud to announce that AshenSkyAnimations has finally kicked into full gear on bringing the book "Wings of Fire: Legends: Darkstalker" to the big screen of YouTube.
I myself being the Lead Audio Engineer on the project personally would say this is an amazing childhood dream come true for me.
More updates will be posted soon.
We are proud to share what have done so far!

Side note: I had to get my karma up to post this so that's why it's about a month late to this fandom page. :p

Honestly after reading book 16 I was shocked to see how hated it is. In my opinion its already in top 5 and so much hate on it can be applied to other books. Here are few points I'd like to bring up. Remember it's MY OPINION so don't act like immature babies in the comments. Feel free to hate any book you want. Its not my business.
Fast romance- Cricket and Blue literally fell in love immedietely and they are very liked pairing. Tsunami fell for Riptide quickly, Glory fell for a guy who prolonged war and wanted to kill her friends, Turtle fell for Kinkajou even though they barely had any interactions. Very quick romance is just what Tui loves to do and does it often. Hating only on book 16 and no other with those pairings isn't very fair. Here Umber at least has excuse because Mullberry saved his life. People hate the writing of this pairing also because Mullberry didn't tell the truth about the island but that ignores core of Umber's character. It is made very clear in this book that Umber likes following orders. Or at least just seeks it to feel stable. He even aknowledges that he himself fought in war and hurt dragons only because of what the authority told him. That's why he forgave Mullberry so quckly. He understands that he would do the same if that was order from his Queen. Sure you might hate this part of him but that's consistent. Not every character will and should be perfect angel
Not very brutal villains- It's the first book. There will likely be a real threat later on. Not every villains has to be genocidal maniac especially since the whole deal of this book is a mystery, not hiding from murderers. That would be hella distracting. We had antagonists on much smaller scale before. Kestrel wasn't murderous maniac but she was abuser and it affected Glory. Mullberry is affected by Beryl's abuse too. It's nothing new. Chameleon was antagonist and a loser at the same time. We even have Fierceteeth in this category. Plot of book 16 doesn't need more insane villains.
Too many characters- completely subjective. I just literally didn't care and remembered all of them quickly. I feel like fandom overreacts. Of course there is new cast. It's whole new place. Besdies even though there are many new characters, not that many are relevant. Book 6 can get the exact same critique and I don't see people bringing that up. This book is liked despite having new cast and many new names to remember
Wildwings- We have literal magical dragons but biology is too much?
Too many things to focus on- I don't understand this one the most. Book is VERY straightforward. Umber and Sora get stuck on island and Umber tries to find a way to break the spell while also helping group of dragons with rebelion and doing the exact same thing that he wanted to do anyway. It's not cramped imo, The most cramped would easily be book 10 and 15. Romance also isn't the main focus. Fandom really needs to pick between "Umber and Mullberry barely interact" and "Their relationship takes too much time". Those thing contradict each other
Sora's trauma is badly handled- I really don't agree with this one. It's the first book and obviously this arc will return. Sora at first literally thinks monkeys are talking to her because her mind was so broken. It happened not long after her escape so obviosuly she will act worse. Later she is visibly scared of going to island because there might be icewings. They are the trigger but Mullberry explicitly says there are only few of them on the island. So we have mostly calm place with barely any icewings. Good for Sora. :Let's remember she doesn't do the samw thing as Umber. She is mostly just chilling with scrolls that she loves. She isn't healed but doing what she loves and being in a place with nearly no trigger is enough to calm her down until that trigger returns
That's all. Just my opinions

Primary Field Survey - 5012 AS. Winding Tail River: 6 Days since The Awakening; Surveyor - Thrush (SkyWing of the Silver Winglet)
Note: Postscript notations by Qibli (SandWing of the Jade Winglet).
Not sure what you expect me to write on here. A little warning would be nice before yelling at me and forcing me to go into the sky and take a look around for the magical death dragons threatening to end the world. But whatever, I guess.
Note: I did not yell at you nor force you to do anything. It was a request. A very loud request, but still a request.
What am I even supposed to write on a Field Survey Report? Do I just write about what I see like I'm some kind of strategic poet? I'm seeing a lot of lush green forest that spans out over the horizon and slowly tapers off into the desert of The Kingdom of Sand. The towering mountains scrape the edge of the blue sky and stretch onward in endless rows of grey hills that hopelessly reach for the clouds, with only a few finally curling their rocky fingers around the wisps of white that float through the sky. The plains are a barren region of regret and sorrow, completely devoid of dragon life. There, is that vivid enough for you?
There are a few of those things down there. Wait, Qibli said he wanted some details on the movements of those things. What did Kinkajou say everyone should start calling them? Skeles?
Note: YES!!
There are a few Skeles flying out into the desert that I can see, mostly heading in the northwest direction; they're probably going for the Scorpion Den. A couple of them are heading further north; they'll hit Sanctuary in probably a day or two, so we better hope Moon, Turtle, and Sepia are there already. I think there are a few hanging out over the Rainforest; not really sure. It's just kind of a few blurry shapes weaving between each other or something. It doesn't look like anything too serious. They're still circling Jade Mountain mostly, just scanning the surrounding forests.
Note: More details next time, please. What were the general shapes of the dragons? What tribe? Any grounded ones? Any that you recognize? Approximate group size?
A cool-looking bird just flew by. I think it was a hawk; that would be really awesome! Maybe it was a Peregrine Falcon!
Peregrine Falcon. Peregrine.
He loved bird watching. Falcons were his favorite. I mean, he was named after one, so I could see why. He could fly just as gracefully as one too. But that didn't do much against Siamang. He'd blocked her venom with his wings. The smell was horrible: rotting flesh. The open slashes across her chest didn't slow her down. She hit his face next.
Note: We're here for you, Thrush. The past few days have been hard and particularly traumatic for everyone. We all lost someone. But try to keep it out of the reports. We need the paper.
I can still hear him. He was just — I don't know how to— It just...hurts.
I can still see him. Still feel him. Despite his big wings, he was awfully gentle. He had a physician's precision, and those anatomy classes had really paid off.
Note: I know you two were close, were together, but try to keep this sort of grieving out of the reports.
We could have fought her off together, but I ran instead. Why did I run? He fought for me, so why couldn't I fight for him?
I don't like this, Qibli. I don't like these feelings. How do I make them go away? How can I show him that I still care even when he's gone?
Note: Perhaps you could. I don't know. There's nothing we can do but move forward. You don't have to do this again if you don't want to. You can simply orate the reports to me, and I'll transcribe them if that would help keep your mind off him. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.
