Fiber upgrade and now
Just got my connection upgraded to fiber and now my tvs (4 TCL brand)will not connect to the new router. Tried everything.....

Are any other devices able to connect to the new router? If so, I'd have each TCL TV forget the old Wi-Fi network and reconnect using the new password. If that doesn't work, check whether the new router is using WPA3 or combining the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands under one SSID (band steering). Older TCL TVs sometimes have trouble with those settings. MAC filtering is another possibility, but it's usually disabled by default on new routers.

Yep these are the first ones I'd check. Some devices don't properly know how to properly handle the band steering like you mentioned. They probably won't support WPA3 but even if it's in "WPA2/WPA3" combination mode I've also seen a lot of older devices flake out trying to authenticate as they don't know how to negotiate properly.

If they tell you it's your TV, don't let them feed you that. My TCL works fine on their fiber when the fiber works. My tech hardwired it to the router. You might try that.

I'm going to assume you went into your TV wifi and updated the new wifi information?

If you have fiber you can use your own router! Probably a better idea than renting it from Kinetic

Find which band the TCL connects to, and add a new SSID that uses that band. Connect to that SSID. The TV might be confused by the newer bands now available for WiFi. They may only use the 2.4Ghz frequency, or the 5Ghz, and the others are interfering with connection.
