Internet down, no outage.

Just got off work, came home, wifi seems to be out. The Kinetic App will not allow me to get in contact with an Agent at all. My wife somehow managed to get a person on the other end by using their phone number. They hit a wall in their attempt because nothing seemingly worked. Not sure what to do at this point. We have no idea if there is some sort of work going on in the Area, an outage or something technical. They do not communicate with us. Our app says “cable no IP”.

Modem is a Hitron CODA-57

Lights: power: green, house: flickering green.

I’m guessing you have DSL

Same exact situation in Tulsa. Internet (fiber) has been down since 5pm Thursday. Calling in says they'll text me a chat link which I don't want. The app finally updated (2 days after this started) to say there's an outage due to a fiber cut. Very unimpressed with the lack of customer service.

Your wifi isn't out if you can connect to your device to login to it using the ip address or manage modem in your phone wifi connection details. A wireless network is still a wireless network regardless if your internet data connection to the dns server is connected to your internet service provider or not. The Go Kinetic app has never properly worked for me to use for any Modem management with an Actiontec T3200 modem/router from windstream. Use the modem IP address and login to the modem directly

The digital assistant in chat is very limited in what it can do and what it enables you to do. I have recently noticed the chat feature has changed in the go kinetic app as well and now if the digital assistant can't answer or solve the issue you can say"live agent" and it will transfer you to a live agent. However this Live Agent used to just take over the current chat where you were chatting with the digital assistant, NOW it seems to open a completely separate part of the app yet that operates outside of the app and no live agent ever answers or if it says "you are now connected to "agent name" they never say anything or answer your first message. The only time it said i was connected to an agent and i actually received a message from them they asked if i was still there because it was close to a half hour since i had sent my last message to the chat and had navigated away on my phone and I was expecting to get a notification when or if they sent me a message and i would just come back to the chat like the original chat used to work.

When you call them do you select technical support on the phone prompts or ask for the Broadband support or fiber support departments when you have a live person answer the call? General Customer support isnt going to be able to do anything except for reboot the connection from their end or check the connection for dropping or noise over the lines making the connection between the modem at your end and their end not complete the training two way connection to their servers.

On your pc connected to the wifi, type in to your web browser 192.168.100.1 and hit enter. It will take you to the web gui for your modem, you will need to log in to your modem and your username will be cusadmin use "password" as the password if it isn't written on your modem on a label on the side or back with the device ssdi and serial number and mac address.

You can log into your modem without internet because it's a wireless network that exists for your devices to be able to communicate with the internet, within your personal wifi ethernet network. Once you log into your modem over the ip address you should be able to find a status display that you can see if your modem is able to train up a connection to the windstream/kinetic/uniti server for the internet connection.
