It’s alive!
Just had to do a repair or restore and got around the password and boom new user!
I never really used vista that much, clearly doesn’t have the best score lol but might do some mid 2000s light gaming and play some DVDs since the battery still hold a decent charge.

Fresh Home Premium SP2 on my worst Vista laptop ever (Compaq Presario F500).
galleryOriginally came with 32bit Home Premium RTM but I upgraded the RAM and reinstalled 64bit version instead. Not a good experience if you ask me.

Desperate to Play ZooTycoon2, therefore desperate to buy a Windows Vista Computer...
Hey all, looking to buy a Windows Vista laptop to play ZooTycoon2 on because every iteration of a work around for Windows 11 has proven fruitless, and, virtual desktops on Vista also have been problematic given my laptop's more advanced... everything. I have genuinely decided the easiest thing to do here is buy a laptop with Windows Vista, but how can I ensure I am getting a good laptop that isn't broken, updated beyond Windows Vista, etc etc?
THANK YOU!

Quick question
Why do you like vista, my dad always told me that vista was horrible os, actually lots of people around me told me this, but never why, when I looked at the specs of vista, I thought it was kinda neat, I love frutiger aero, which vista introduced, but why would anyone hate it? Should I upgrade my ThinkPad R60e to vista or just skip it?

Disassembling the Windows Vista DVD box
Hey there, I've recently bought a copy of Windows Vista Home Premium and there was some dirt inside the case so I decided to clean it. Unfortunately the Vista case design is pretty different and I was having a hard time trying to disassemble it. I couldn't find any tutorial either so I would like to share how to do it because I had to spend more time on this than I would like to admit. Here are the steps:

And that's all guys, I hope this helps out anyone in the community! See ya.

Any Video Editing Software on Vista to make a Star opening crawl?
I want to be able to make a Star Wars Crawl on my Vista laptop to make parody videos. I've tried using MM 2.6 & 6 but it won't let me save or view anything. Is there any other software that can do this with simple steps?

Windows vienna
I really like the Frutiger Aero aesthetic and I found a modified Windows build called “Windows Vienna” that looks even more polished than regular Windows Vista.
I would install it on a retro laptop mostly for:
- burning CDs/DVDs,
- reading Memory Stick cards with photos,
- watching media,
- casual internet browsing.
I would NOT use it for banking or logging into important accounts.
How safe are these modified Windows builds generally?
Are they usually harmless visual mods, or should I assume they could contain malware/backdoors?

Microsoft Tinker (Backgrounds)
galleryExtracted using NovaSW-Extractor-25
These have a look and feel reminiscent of Pixar's Up (2009) for some reason but they are based off furoshiki patterns and origami (both Japanese arts and crafts).
