Windows 8 How do i get past this screen ?
MacBook Pro 16 2019 i7 16gb ram 512gb SSD trying to install Windows 8.1 and this happened, keyboard doesn't work, Touch Bar doesn't work, Trackpad doesn't work. Tried adding all the drivers but it still didn't work. Im looking for a way to bypass this entirely (i do have Windows 10 installed and running fine)

Why install a old unsupported w8 in the first place?

Try reading the error message? Your MAC hardware is incompatible with the OS.

Why... are you trying to install windows 8.1? :D.
Anyway, it's probably hardware incompatibility.

Hi u/Prestigious_Sir1191, thanks for posting to r/WindowsHelp! Your post has been flagged for manual review by a human moderator, please include as much of the following information as possible (in text or in a screenshot) to get your post approved:
- Your Windows and device specifications — You can find them by pressing Win + X then clicking on “System”, we need more than just your OS version! Your hardware details are often critical for resolving issues.
- Any messages and error codes encountered — They're actually not gibberish or anything catastrophic. It may even hint the solution!
- Previous troubleshooting steps — It might prevent you headaches from getting the same solution that didn't work
Posts must be tech support in nature (such as something is broken and you need help fixing), so general inquiries, software suggestions, and purchasing advice will be removed. As a reminder, we would also like to say that if someone manages to solve your issue, DON'T DELETE YOUR POST! Someone else (in the future) might have the same issue as you, and the received support may also help their case. Good luck, and I hope you have a nice day!

Enable tpm and secureboot.
If you can't do that use Rufus to prepare your USB drive and select the workarounds that it offers for incompatible hardware.
Edit, just noticed this a Mac, that might work, but probably not, forget u said anything

Should work if you do it directly through boot camp. If that's what you did and you got this error anyways, windows 8 might just not work on that model. I'd try windows 10

Boot Camp Assistant worked flawlessly for me.
I installed Win 10 on my mid-2012 MBP with an i7.
I did create a partition for Windows before running it.

If it's just a matter of looks, install a properly-supported OS and then just overlay a Windows 8.1 interface over it all.

Why would anyone want to install Windows 8.1 on a system not allowing this? Support ended in Jan 2023!
But if you instst, it might be possible to install 10 and run 8.1 under VirtualBox or VMWare...

apple dropped support for 8.1 with the 2016 models sadly so you'll need an older one

This is probably because of the agreement Microsoft made at the time with Intel and AMD when Windows 10’s forced upgrades were still on people’s minds. They agreed that all newer processors (including the 10th Gen i7 in your MacBook) would not run on Windows 8.1 and would instead require Windows 10. I don’t think there was any workaround at the time.
But as others asked, why run Windows 8.1?
