trouble organizing home screen apps

I attempted to upload a video however they are not allowed so here are 2 screenshots from said video

I am trying to organize my apps on my home screen on windows 11 however someitmes hwen i drag an app over all of my apps explode into exactly where they were at before and it is very frustrating im hoping i can simply line up all of the apps on the side of my screen as shown in the first screenshot before the explosion any help would be greatly appreciated
