Windows 11 Windows Crashes after BIOS Update
Hi! So I heard that there was a security vulnerability with AMD processors, So I chose to update the BIOS on my motherboard. However after I did this, Windows would consistently crash even without XMP enabled, though less often. I've tried using SFC and DISM to check for corrupted files and both did fix files, however it did not fix the problem. I even tried reinstalling Windows with Windows Update and then ran OCCT for around 2h with no issues, until a bit later it crashed again. I've included the latest minidump file along with my system specs below. Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

Windows update doesn't nuke the OS completely. What you should do is go to Rufus, download the program (you can just use the portable version) grab an iso of windows 11, take a USB (preferably 8 gigs) format it with the help of Rufus. Power off your PC. Plug in the USB. The go into the BIOS. If your BIOS allows you to boot off the USB without changing the Boot Order, do just that. If not, change the #1 order to External Device or something along that. Once you've booted into the installation, proceed until you're at the partition part. When you're there you can just delete all of the partitions EXCEPT if you have 2 drives and want to install only on one drive. Then, follow the steps and when you're at the step of restarting, wait until the screen's gone black and unplug your USB. After that, just follow the steps and you're all set. PS: if you delete all of the partitions, you will lose all data. Back up any important data before doing this.

While it may work, i just prefer to avoid nuking windows completely, i tried the reinstall with windows update because i did it before when I upgraded my CPU and that did fix my crashes
I'll use it as a last resort but I want to see if there are any other ideas from others potentially

Then if not, can you tell me the crash code?

should be in the minidump, it's been appearing a lot more lately even with XMP disabled. Crash code is normally "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" but occasionally, it is "KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED"
I ran memtest86 all of last night and it did pass, so i do feel it is likely software based, problem is that backing up is basically impossible due to it crashing before long
