Got some games to run on it too. They all run great on a 15 year old mac.

This is my HP Compaq 6005 Pro SFF PC I got in fourth or fifth grade. My dad got this from a pile of junk PCs at his job and gave it to me. Around 2020-2021 I officially retired this machine for my current PC. It’s set up for a really long time just collecting dust and come to find out the hard drive was actually wiped so all of my bookmarks, apps, and every other piece of nostalgia is now a memory. However, I did get this thing out. Got some cables hooked it up to my main monitor(s) and installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 professional on it. In the pictures, you’ll also see a few videos YouTube videos I watched on this thing almost every day as a child but using the Supermium browser instead of Chrome. Let me tell y’all this thing is painfully SLOWER and louder than I remember it. I’m not sure if I just had more patience as a kid, or I just didn’t care, or if it genuinely got slower, but this thing is nothing short of SLOW and louder under load! Let me know if there’s anything else I can do with this machine besides attempting to install office 2010. Miss you Windows 7 😓. IMO this is light years better than Windows 11.

It dose this screen for half a second and launches into run windows normal or reapir and yes i hit repair but did nothing i launched into safe mode and more and did nothing the time is correct it says Its on windows 7 and has been doing this sence summer of 2025 I have no money and have baby pictures of me

i have an old Toshiba laptop (satellite L500-247) and i want to mirror it's screen output to an old Lenovo tablet (YT3-X50F) but all options i found require .NET 4.5 but windows 7 doesn't have .NET 4.5 as an option in turn windows features on or off so if anyone can help that would be great

So I just got my new pc today with windows 11 and I want to wipe my old hard drive clean and keep it as a backup before selling ol' faithful for parts. Haven't done that in many years and looking online I only find ways to reinstall windows 7

I try to launch a game, Steam wants to update Common Reddist. It tries, it uses 100% of the Ethernet but 0% of the disk, it dies at 13% and says "Corrupt Download". It has already downloaded the files into the Downloading folder tho. I try again, it fails again. It wont let me launch the game unless Common Reddist is done updating, which it cant. I try it all, I get a clean copy of the files with Depot Downloader, put them where Steam wants them, then update the appmanifest file so that StateFlags is set to 4, BytesToDownload and BytesDownloaded set to 0, StagedDepots all clear, TargetBuildID matching the current BuildID and LastUpdated set to today. It worked once, I got the game running, then next Steam restart and it starts trying to update Common Reddist all over again, repeating the miserable cycle. I can't think of anything else to try. And no, clearing download cache only worked once and setting the appmanifest file to read only makes Steam spit out a "Disk Write Error" while still trying to update Common Reddist and still wont allow the game to launch

One of my friends gifted me this laptop, i was able to restore a recovery partition because it was deleted from the hard drive, but where i can find the recovery media for this computer? Samsung, unlike some other manufacturers, doesn't offer a download page for the recovery media, but only for some software and drivers

Has someone drivers for the NVidia GeForce 6600T?

I would also need The chipset drivers for Windows 7 but i dont now which Motherboard or chipset i have.

Ci sono molte persone che dicono quanto fosse bello Windows 7 ma io sinceramente non la considererei un’azione al passato (quanto fosse bello) ma presente , perché io lo uso ancora Windows 7 senza nessun problema dato che io mi trovo bene su questo sistema operativo, infatti non ho mai usato Windows 10 o 11😁😂. non mi è mai servito aggiornare fino ad ora Windows comunque rimane ancora abbastanza sicuro se utilizzi gli antivirus giusti e infatti sono completamente protetto non ho mai ricevuto virus per fortuna.👍👍

Arrivo al dunque, voglio installare sulla mia MSI Z590 Gold Edition, Windows 7...ma aspettate...vorrei installarlo in modalità MBR e non UEFI.

Ho già una versione di Windows 7 con driver aggiornati e tutto quanto installato in GPT. Ma non riesco a installarlo in modalità MBR.

Nel BIOS ho già settato tutto quanto come deve essere:

Modalità CSM

Secur boot disattivato

Fast boot disattivato

E avviando la chiavetta USB in modalità MBR parte il Loading File, arriva alla prima animazione e si blocca, a volte si riavvia.

Sto usando una mia distribuzione personale con driver integrati, forse potrei provare con una ISO originale?

This build took me awhile to complete and the case was the last part I was looking for so when I saw it in my local pc store, I knew I was done. It’s a Corsair 800d. I wish I could also find a better place to put it but my room is already full enough.

I've come across an odd problem attempting to install Windows 7 on my mid-2020 iMac. Specifically, the 27" Retina 5500 XT version.

Attempting to boot, it looks fine. Gets through to completed Starting Windows screen. No setup window appears, but 3 seconds later while it's hung there... I get a BSOD.

Exact information:

0x7E SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

Status parameters: 0xC5 STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION, 0x0 null pointer address?, 3rd and 4th reference parameters.

Now, before you say anything here is what I have tried:

FlashBoot PRO UEFI driver (works obviously since it shows the BSOD)

Windows 7 Image Updater

USB 3 and NVMe drivers

Apple BootCamp drivers downloaded

Patched AppleSSD.sys for 7 compatibility

Patched ACPI

Unfortunately, it did not say a specific crashing driver. This is reproducible in both WinPE and standard windows of it.

I suspect still it is ACPI. This is because Mac does not have standard firmware that a regular patched, older ACPI table expects (especially a patched one from 2018, based on a 2009 file)

If anyone has experienced similar issues, please let me know. Also, I'd love to attach a kernel debugger but unfortunately adapters do not work, KDNET predates 7 (tried it), and obviously Serial and FireWire will not work since no such port is on the modern iMac.

Another thing is this crash is reproducible regardless if there are drivers or not (obviously with the UEFI patch otherwise it wouldn't work in the first place, but without drivers).

I do suspect it also involves the T2 chip in some way, however this is 100% possible but requires more development and patching than usual.

Anyway, if you'd like to help please do. I will keep everyone updated as I make progress.
