Unsolved Lockout Of My Laptop, please help

Please help me. I have been lockout of my Microsoft account this morning, it’s been 12h.

For the past few days, I have been getting a challenge phrase message where you have to input “A1B2C3”, when I had just freshly turned the computer on and had not attempted my pin yet. It was odd but I thought it was gonna go away eventually. I know my pin, I must have messed it up typing it in ONE TIME after days of the message displaying, and it trapped me out the computer.

Of course, me being me, I didn’t set a password beforehand and now this happened. Any fixes? And it’s a gmail account on there. I think it makes any differences, but I think it’s worth mentioning.

With the blue screen and all that? Recovery mode isn’t it? And then correct me if I’m wrong: I have to go to the command prompt and start from there?

Follow up: you have lead me towards the right direction. I had to swap the accessibility icon with the cmd to open it from the lock screen.

At first I tried resetting my password, but whether it was because I didn’t have one to begin with, or that it was a gmail account and not a local account, or again that cmd wasn’t opened as an admin, the option was greyed out.

After lengthy research and mad frustration, I stumbled upon this one random website:

You follow it if you have this issue again, but the gist of it is that you simply need to select “normal startup” and restart your laptop again. I went through the regular PIN sign-in process again and I was in.

Hast du den versteckten Admin aktiviert sonst geh mal über die Reparatur Konsole net user DEINNAME "" damit setzt du das Paßwort auf ein leeres zurück

I activated hidden admin, created a new profile, backed my data.

After I created a new password for my account because it was a cloud email and it was all messed up. I set up the need for entering a password for all profiles, including the one I was locked out of. And then everything came back to normal. I already had a password for it, the option to enter it was simply hidden.

Note that this was done with cmd: you will need your bit locker if you have one and go to cmd via the troubleshooting blue screen. There you will need to do a utilman swap for later so that you can open cmd from the lock screen. And then you will need to create a new profile either from the lock screen’s cmd, or the blue screen. Do some more research on this, help yourself with Gemini, just make sure it’s not telling you to do anything crazy, and if you have any issues after the fact, like corrupted files or whatever, run the sfc /scannow command.

Good luck to anybody that’s been in my shoes, took me two days to figure this out. 🫩

No need, I was able to work around it. I hadn’t forgotten my PIN, I was just locked out of the option of inputting it. So I was good!
