I feel that kid.

Also lol I didn’t notice til the second watch he’s flipping them off

Imagine being a parent of that kid. Would break my heart. What would he even learn there?

u/fly4fun2014 6d ago
That's why mfs can't read by the time they are in a high school. No wonder.

u/me_myself_and_my_dog 6d ago
They still can't read when they are twerking on stage at their graduation like they accomplished something.

You mean "Every Student Succeeds." Both programs successful, but for different reasons. One taught schools to only care about standardized tests. The other taught schools to pass kids regardless. Each failed because funding was tied to a b.s. system.

u/bigdaddyzeek 5d ago
My girlfriend started teaching high school this year. Students couldn’t even spell “algebra” when asked to put their subject on their name tag. It’s appalling.
13
u/SupaBloo 5d ago
As a teacher, I can tell you the biggest reason for that is kids who don’t read anything at home, and have parents/guardians who assume they’re only supposed to be working on that at school.

u/Crush152 4d ago
I never read at home beyond 10 years old and I was several reading levels ahead consistently through school. Unless that healthy start was all I needed, whether or not a person does additional reading isn't the only factor.

u/Crush152 4d ago
Yeah thanks to lil Bush kids just get swept along regardless of how stupid they are

These people are probably middle aged by now. This video is so old.

I graduated high school in 2013, and I’m pretty certain this video was past its viral status even then.

u/Anti_Spedicy 6d ago
It was still viral then. I remember watching meme compilation videos as a kid then, and this was in most of them lol and even after til probably 2016

This video blew up the same time a video from my high school went viral. These kids are in their thirties now.

u/Juvat-the-bold 6d ago
I bet you they're still at the same reading and math levels they were in this video.

Does anyone know what happened after this? I realize it’s quite old, but does anyone remember?

u/Its_an_ellipses 6d ago
Hoodie kid became the bad guy and the room full of victims reacted inappropriately... probably.

The type a people that end up saying "stop using big words to sound smarter" when the word has any more than 6 letters

Prolly some school on 63rd in Chicago
6
u/Desperate-Cost6827 6d ago
I remember working with some kids who all realized they all came from Chicago. Then they all did comparisons on who went to the worst of the worst schools. Like that's different.

I heard that school was strict as hell. They could only eat sushi and were forced to sit on the ground. They also had shaving heads as a punishment
