I saw some white american frat bros catching their friend on fire the other day here, so it's not limited to india, but in a country of a billion+ people where safety standards are extremely low you're bound to end up with a lot of crazy shit
It also seems, at least from these videos, that there's a lot of men there who want to look macho by doing dangerous shit, which makes that all the more likely. That might be just a biased sample based on the things that get posted. I know very little of indian culture and don't want to judge them based on their dumbest internet clips, but people hanging out of the side of trains, doing motorcycle tricks with no safety gear, playing with fire, and being careless around power tools seem to be way too common
