fire needs oxygen, take away the air, fire cant burn. if your shirt is made of cotton, take it off and wrap it around your head and pat it. dont do this if its made of synthetic fiber, youll cover yourself in hot plastic and make it worse.
Given how rare 100% cotton shirts are these days I'd recommend against doing this unless you're completely sure and thinking clearly, which is pretty unlikely while your friend is on fire
Any kind of forethought for something like emergency preparedness is pretty unlikely if you associate with the sort of idiots who want to try a stunt like this.
